firebladejedi
Yeah this discovery was last year sometime, a few here in the UK were contacted about it using that same pic. I never heard any more about it, so lets see if anything happens this year

Voodoo
So . . . is it just me, or does it appear that there are metal inserts, or panels, on either side of the bottom half of the radio. What do you guys think? Is it possible that those are decals with a foil backing? It looks like the Sonix logo is worn off and the underside seems awfully bright as well. pandatrooper
They might be metal inserts, just to protect the corners from being banged up? Looks like they were painted black from the factory and the paint has worn off.
bountyone
This is awesome, I even had guys in Hong Kong in radio shops looking for this. Great find!!!!!
Voodoo
I agree, it looks like metal. That is just so inconsistent with the cheap standard to which all of these Hong Kong generic radios were built that it is confusing. I can't see any other areas that look like they may be metal. Interesting detail though. To echo everyone else's sentiment. . . I am jealous. (What a funny hobby we have.)
pandatrooper
To echo everyone else's sentiment. . . I am jealous. (What a funny hobby we have.) No kidding. Most people want money, fancy cars, luxury homes, etc.. We want old radios that are no longer made, vintage Tupperware lids, and long extinct British toilet syphons...
