  1. Guess they used the wooden stand as a podest for better close-up shots considering the background perspective... ON the last picture I assume they've used it, probably the've just spread some sand over it and that's it
  2. yep, very interested. got already the small spanish pouches, a canvas mp40 and a slightly inaccurate mp40 leather pouch. got still some time to build my RS suit up so would be very nice to get a tut to make some nice pouches myself. would be really great if you would take it on greetings Kevin
  3. yeah come on Rolf, I really expected you to do it again in a month or so, I want to see more results :D but the armor looks great so far!I'm back again and building also my RS Sandtrooper, did receive the armor past weekend and can't wait to do a superb troop with you sometime in our top notch killah suits ^^ :td: so I'll also have to hurry up cuz my 18th. is not far away 5th of April, and then an mepd deployment will be sent what about the hengstler plug? got a new E-11?
  4. Now we are two having the 1mm TM Sandtrooper, we honoustly have to troop soon Rolf!
  5. It's a truly greeat kit, you know 've got the same 1mm kit in this egg white colour. I really love it and this colour is a lot better than than high gloss, it seems that we have to troop soon, don"t we?
  6. Radio looks nice, but is it me or is the box way too high?
  7. I think this thread is unnecessary, we have the same thread already here: http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=7096&pid=86584&st=0entry86584 Why don't you post there? Cheers Volumino
  8. I think you got the right weatherig technique - wipe'n'dab, but to be honoust I think the brown scratches are too much, leave them out and the weathering will look really great! Just my opinion!
  9. Yeah, me, too. I can't wait to get one cause my pack is waiting for an accurate faceplate and without that, my TM Sandtrooper is still not finished
  10. Yeah, thas because you've left pretty much plastic on the upper side of the eyes. But I think you should leave it, not every helmet should look the same, I would just trim one of the eyes a bit to give it an even more asymmetrical look. The Movie helmets weren't cut perfectly, too. I also did it with my TM bucket and I think that it looks good
  11. Nice to hear that, Juan. I'll try to find the pictures from the troop. Otherway I'll have to dress up again Cheers Kevin
  12. Hey Guys, Sorry that I didnt write anything here for a long time, my TM is ready and I've already trooper with it. Paul, your armor is the best here and I can say that cause I owned 3 armors till now. I'll try to post some pics from the troop soon with my other Sandtrooperbuddy I just have some helmet photos atm I must say that the helmet is as great as the armor, I have never seen a sculpted helmet with such an amount of details, this helmet didn't have any ANH origin and still looks like the ANH Helmet with even more details than a TE2.
  13. Yeah Guys, I don't have much to go! I weathered almost all parts today except the helmet and the torso cause I had to glue the 3 buttons first. You can't really see the weathering on the pictures, it has a completly different effect when you get a photo with sun light. Without Flash With Flash I'll be ready till Saturday, there'll be my first appearance with the armor, I'm getting excited haha Cheers Kevin
  14. Cool buddy, thanks! I just thaught it would be cool to make a TD with a normal brow cause not every Sandtrooper had a high brow as the Move Along TD. But I think the white one looks better, too.
  15. My simple Helmet Padding :D We want to go movie accurate
  16. Yeah Guys, I got a small update... I've put some parts together to see the overall look and I think the TD starts to rock. As you can see I have to weather the whole plastic and that will take some time for sure, there's not much to go. I've got my first event next week on Saturday, so there'll be some shots of it. Unfortueatly my backpack won't be ready till then cause I'm still waiting for the crashmann/zenix faceplate, but who doesn't? And finally a shot with Scootch's Pauldron. So what do you think? What Pauldron fits better? Cheers Kevin
  17. Hey thank you! Nice to see that somebody likes it
  18. The bucket: I messed it a bit up with the tube stripes colour so I'll have to remove that paint that came off its way... Sorry, you'll have to turn your head Imageshack always turns it back at how it was shot
  19. Now here we have the belt: This mag has to do its job untill I get a more accurate one The almost finished arm parts:
  20. Hey a little Update I dit the main strapping system to fit like a shell as in the movie Here the rivets and the popper: Back: Thanks to Smitty for the mic tips, they're great. And thanks to all those people who helped me with ther tips and espacially to Paul, who did this stunning set of TD Armor
  21. me too me too me too :D third haha
  22. Hey, Today I was wondering if Sandtroopers have worn neckseals in the movie, cause there were a lot of parts added later when the scenes were turned back in England. We all know that the Sandtrooper scenes were shot first but parts like the drop boxes and the shoulder straps weren't on the TD Armor, that's why I'm wondering if the also didn't wear neckseals, does somebody got a good picture of a TD wearing a neckseal? Cheers Kevin
  23. Hehe, of course I will, I'll try to upload some actual photos right now Everywhere laying spare parts in my room, I'm not able to put them together because of the mess after trimming and glueing and all that stuff. The left ear got a bit crappy, but I'll get a new one, It's my first helmet I wanted to have the little gap at the thigh because than I can fill it with abs-cement. Not much to see
  24. After selling my PT (TE2 Recast) and waiting 3 months in a list and saving almost 1000 Euros, I got a package last week. After unpacking the package, which was that well packed that it could stand WW III i had 4 seprate packed pieces And after unpacking them I just had a huge mess at my house :D But this is a week ago guys, I've already trimmed everything, the helmet is built together and the legs are glued, I just have to glue the arm parts, paint the helmet and the details, add some straps and weather it. I'll try to keep you informed and will try to post some pictures asap. A pitty I'm 16, I'd like to be a member of the MEPD but well, that are the rules Oh my god, this is my third armor, I'm getting crazy Greetings, Kevin S.
  25. Hey Troops! I don't know if you have actually known or seen this, but I see it for the first time. 1. Look at the Pauldron the trooper is wearing, he has two snaps on the back of the pauldron and at the front, the strap is hold by a kind of a d-ring. 2. Look at the upper tool box, I've always thought it would be a box with straight edges, but at this picture, it looks to me as if it has rounded edge and is opened inside. Something like this would fit better The tube on the right little box has cut off a little flap on the back side. 3. This is my favourite Sandtrooper picture Somebody should try to get such a cocheted cloth and weather his armor with it That would get the accurate dirt structure
