  1. Ok so you want the armour to be like the originals on the outside - but want to be able to take it apart for storage or transport.. On my latest build this is they way i have gone.. So for the crotch strap we know that on the originals the strap was riveted to the front bottom of the ab plate and at the butt there were 2 male snaps fitted directly through the armour. The butt part is easy, simply do as they did and fit snaps through the butt. For the front, it is possible to mix and match rivets and snaps to give the right impression on the outside but it comes apart just as if you were using snaps. Here is my ab plate, i coupled a jeans rivet on the outside with a male s spring snap inside - simple yet effective I have done the same on the left side torso, coupling a jeans rivet outside with a male s spring snap inside.. For the right side of the torso i do as the originals by putting the male snap direct through the torso.
  2. Hi guys you need to make a couple of posts before the whole forum opens up at L.S.D any joining problems email firebladejedi@elitestormtrooper.com
  3. It sure will be interesting to compare this suit to others available on the market
  4. This has to be the best news for stormtroopers of 2011 !!!
  5. No the film helmets did not, so I don't use it in my lids either.
  6. I'm so happy for you Rolf. Some good news
  7. *** Incoming transmission, standby... *** For the last 4 years i have been making and supplying canvas belts for fellow stormtrooper wannabes to help them make their replica costumes more accurate but the time has now come for me to put the sewing machine aside and to get on with other more important things in life. I no longer have any projects in the works and have all the belts i need for my ANH and ESB stormtroopers and to be honest am sick of the thought of having to spend my own time doing mind numbing tasks for others when i could be doing many things to my own advantage. So i will ask that from now on, anyone in search of a canvas belt looks else where and if you were one of the lucky ones who actually has one of my belts and somewhere at an event somebody asked you where did you get that? Please tell them with a smile in the knowledge you got it from fbj, but he no longer produces them so please don't go to him and ask him to make you one. If i have a lobotomy and decide to start producing more canvas belts i will offer them for sale in a for sale thread, not made to order in all manner of sizes and colours, under my terms and times. I would like to thank those who have been previous customers for their support and praise, and to those who narrowly missed out ~ tough luck I will be glad to continue in offering armour advice, on where to spend your Imperial credits and how to stick it together.. but please no more canvas belts. *** Transmission complete ***
