slave1pilot
I just couldn't take the crap pintjob of the Kotobukiya. I did a total repaint & am much happier with it. I couldn't even display it before. LMK what you guys think. Here's a "before and after " shot Koto on the left, repaint on the right and here's a few detail pics; Of course, now I have to repaint the dials to be accurate and one for scale;

Ilovesand&dirt
YOURS look better. Nice Job, Nathan. I could hope my armor looks as good as that.
TD-1536
That looks great. I avoided buying one of those because the paint job sucked.
TD1043
Yours looks a **** of a lot better than what was originally applied to it. What did you use to remove the original paint job? And, what paints did you use to give it a much more realistic weathered effect? Great job!
Daetrin
Unbelievable - the pauldron & gloves look like real leather. Amazing So, will you be doing this as another side business
TD 551
Wow! If their paintjob was half as good as yours I'd buy one! Maybe they're hiring

hhuggins
I've got that sitting on my desk here at work. Every day I find myself looking at it and thinking, "I need to repaint that." Great job! Please let us know what you used. Did you strip it first? HH

slave1pilot
I didn't strip the old paint off. I taped off the black areas & repainted the whole thing in Flat white. Then I touched up the black with "Apple barrel" 20404 Black acrylic craft paint. The "dirty" areas are "Tamiya" XF-52 Flat Earth Acrylic paint from your local hobby store. some of the colors are a mix of both.
