  1. I bought a Cushman about 6 years ago - before I knew any better. Had the same problems here as everyone else, plus the product was disappointing. I ended up selling it here to someone at a loss. There are better products out there, especially now. HH
  2. Thanks! Luckily I found it! BTW - the package arrived today. Can't wait to try it out tomorrow. Thanks! HH
  3. Thanks! Which ebay listing are you referring to? There is a Fry's nearby. Any idea where I might find it there? HH
  4. Hey Everyone, I can't find the "push-to-talk" cable that came with my Hyperdyne board. Does anyone know if that is a standard Radio Shack part? I need to suit up on Friday and am getting desperate . . . HH
  5. Great work on the helmet! Looking forward to seeing how the rest turns out . . . HH
  6. Since "Blue Sky" has been discontinued, what are the alternatives? I've seen "Lake Blue" mentioned, is there one that anyone can recommend? Thanks, HH
  7. Thanks Mike! So what parts do I need to remove? From pics, it looks like the top cross rail and the rail on the bottom will have to go. Then I'll need to add some other cross members for the seed trays to attach to. Does that sound right? HH
  8. So I'm finally getting around to building my pack. I picked up this boyscout frame on eBay last year and am wondering if it's the correct one? If it is the correct frame, what do I need to do to it? I know I need to bend the main frame rails, but do I need to remove the upper cross rail? Any help would be appreciated! HH
  9. I'm desperate! I'd take either one! HH
  10. I finished my armor in October, but since then it's been tough finding time to assemble a pack. I've got a boy scout frame, but that's as far as I've gotten. Is anyone offering pack kits anymore? I know there was an incredible pack offered last year. Is it still available? I really want to be compete and have my TD number before C4. Thanks, HH
  11. I didn't have time to put them on before the party. They are there now! HH
  12. Wow guys, thanks for all the kind words. It's been a long haul but this forum has kept me on course. Your high standards have been an inspiration to me. RoCKo - Yeah, my thighs need to be higher. Hopefully it's just a matter of adding another snap a little higher up on the strap holding them up. I'm not sure how much lower I can get my belt, but I'll take a look. Mike - I need your backpack! Thanks again everyone!
  13. Hey Guys, My wife and I hosted my company Halloween party at our house on Saturday and I was determined to get things in a wearable condition by then. The party started at 6pm and I was still weathering at 5:55, but I manged to get everything on and make a grand entrance by 8pm. Fifteen minutes or so into the party, my left bicep strap popped loose, but it didn't matter. I was suited up for the first time! Lots of things left to do, especially building a backpack, but I've been at this thing on and off for a year now. Thanks for all the inspiration! HH
  14. A while back I used rubber cement to glue a liner in my bucket. The liner is made from a sheet of drawer liner - a perforated, rubbery material. I though the rubber cement was a good solution that would keep it in place, but also not be impossible to remove down the line. Over the summer, things got pretty hot in my garage and the rubber cement turned into a goopy mess. Now the liner is hanging out and I'm at a loss as to what to do. I'm afraid to try to clean out the remaining cement in fear of damaging the paint (I painted the interior black). I've also got custom made padding covered in a soft, black fabric in there. If I have to rip all of that out and repaint the interior, I'll cry myself to sleep. What are other people using to secure liners in their helmets? Can anyone suggest an alternative glue that will hold this stuff in? Thanks, HH
  15. Thanks Luke! Trying to make progress here. Getting close to a test fit. HH
  16. Sounds like a great idea! I do like the thought of having the option of both finished and unfinished pieces. HH
  17. Hey Guys, I'm not a particularly huge guy - 5'10", 185, but I'm having a tough time getting my thigh armor to fit properly. It seems that if I want to be able to really bend my knee, the armor needs to be higher up on my thigh, but in order to do that I'll have to trim a fair amount, especially from the rear as it's really cutting into my back side. Did a lot of you guys have to do this? HH
