Daetrin
I have an AP bucket and the weather stripping bits that came with it to put on the buttom lip of the helmet don't fit on it really well. Any suggestions welcome (I've been troopin' w/o out, but also enduring it scraping my face as I take put it on/take it off).
avatar_man
I used 3/8 reinforced rubber fuel line (automotive grade - about $0.10 a foot)... I just layed it out, sliced it on one side and pushed it on...
troopermaster
The best I have found so far is http://www.sealsdirect.co.uk/bbCMS/shoppin...partmentId=4#33 Scroll down for US52 for the brow and SWR150 for the neck. Both are very close to what was used on the originals. -Paul. Daetrin
::whistles:: Looks good but man after adding VAT/Shipping makes for an expensive meter of material. Anyone have something close in the states?
troopermaster
What you can do to save money is buy a few meters, use what you need and sell the rest.I know that 3 meters of neck trim will do 4 helmets and 2 meters of the brow will do 5 helmets. Just a thought......
SethB6025
You could also start an interest thread for U.S. troopers. Get a bunch shipped to you, then redistribute. It'll cut down on that shipping sting. I'd be in for some bottom trim for sure.
