I never really thought it was sand, I always figured it was crud from being in a crappy dirty place, and regulations being ignored because you are at the a$$ end of the empire. I find the E-11 more menacing than my Lewis gun, it just looks like a big piece of pipe with a handle. The E-11 looks like an automatic weapon.

that's why mine is in the ammo pouch the long one that holds 8 batteries fits good, it's just a little short so I have a string going through it and tie it to the brass button.

the problem I'm having is around the toe box, and the tops and sides of my toes. they fell like a perfect fit, but after abount an hour they feel like they're tearing me up. Fond parade memories

I'm confused, Gauntlets??? there are handbacks but not gauntlets. Unless you are confusing the armor on the forearm (vambrace) with a gauntlet ( hand )

you could just make new belt loopsand leave the old ones there, but I found them pretty easy to get off. I just used some side cutters and cut the rivets off, they are only brass, and reused the loops.
