  1. I see the avatars just fine - so far...
  2. Welcome to the LMG Squad of MEPD 5' 10" - 220lbs
  3. What actual part is this (not on the backpack - the real world part) - maybe I can scrounge around....
  4. WOW - that is 24 USD less than what I paid!
  5. Would this be the new Helmet version that was discussed? If so, what are the odds of getting the price PM'd to a previous purchaser?
  6. Nice showing - I am jonesing to suit up!
  7. Ultra fast shipping from Redford Films. All in all, not super, but not bad either. Well worth modifying and handing off to the teen, or as an emergency backup for the TK (after mods of course)...
  8. well - I can speak for all of the LMG's (LowLand Moutain Gorillas - Thanks Tony) - I don't think weight is the issue, but rather build. If you carry all of your weight in your gut, there may be issues, get your arms much bigger than 16" or so, and you gotta shim.... just depends. I know guys who weigh much more than me and fit fine....
  9. Just ordered one for $119.00 from http://stores.channeladvisor.com/redfordfi...%20EP%20IV%20CE ..One for the collection, and maybe use as a loaner - we'll see how it stacks up as a general purpose helmet. Still tweaking my AP (JOFA helmet inserts, etc..)
  10. None taken.... mine is not exactly up to par with the quality I have seen from Sci-fire weaponry (trust me I have held a Sci-fire BFG next to mine - the quality is overwhelming - superior product all around)... If I could afford one, I would ****** it up in a second. I have not personally seen a Cushman, so I have no opinion, different guns for different reasons - I always say. I like to make my own, so I don't mind that they are not the uber perfect model (no offense to all of my colleagues).. Love you guys, let's play nice - there is room in the world for Sci-Fire, Cushmann, and scratch built...
  11. Man- I don't know whether to LMAO, or just hang my head in shame..
  12. Telling me... I think they are cool... but I have a TK and Clone to finish first...
  13. 5' 10" - 215, 49" chest, 14-1/2 forearms, 17-1/2 calves - no big belly, just thick...(too much manual labor in my 20's)
  14. ...yeah - like anyone who weighs over 180lbs ( or 215), or is built like a Lowland Mountain Gorilla
  15. Here is a small attempt... A man in a hot air baloon drifts by and stops near a single man on the ground. He asks the man - "Could you tell me where I am?" The man looks up and replies "You are in a basket, 50 feet in the air, traveling NorthWest atround 50 degrees Longitude, by 145 Latitude." The man in the basket gets very upset and yells at the man on the ground "You must be in I.T.!" The man on the ground replies "Why yes, how did you know that?" The man in the basket replies. "What you said is very technical, way above my level of understanding, and really didn't help me at all - I am very upset with you!" The man on the ground replies. "You must be in Management." The man in the basket replies. "How can you tell that?" The man on the ground replies, "You came to me with your problem, I identified it, and gave you a very detailed explaination. I did not create your situation, or make it worse, but somehow by explaining it to you - now it's all my fault!"
  16. Yes indeed - keep us posted, any semi-accurate Lewis for that kind of buck is sure to be of great interest (Like 01 for me maybe)
  17. ..any chance of a discounted price for recent FX purchasers???
  18. I have an actual MG-34 Bakelite stock - just sitting and waiting to be molded, and of course have copies made...I wonder who I could sell them to..??
  19. Don't let it get you down man, Gino is one of those guys that follows around to all of the boards and trash talks, insults and basically tries to muddy the waters with enigmatic statements that are complete B.S. - put up or shut up (I know - nobody understand your position, or we are just too dumb to "get it"). I think it may be time to BAN all non-501st members, or at least anyone who is not an active member, or member in progress. I for one am tired of hearing this condescending B*llSH*T everywhere I go. You really are driving people away from this hobby - I have an idea for everyone who doesn't want to share information or post verified pictures of sculptures, works in progress, molds, etc.., start your own forum for airing your opinions and petty squabbles and leave the rest of us actually involved in this hobby ALONE!
  20. I have held my opinion on this issue for a while. So, here goes. Yes - that's what it is all about, getting something cool. The only reason you "got something cool" is because you were at the head of the line. And now YOU want to change the rules, so you are the only person with something cool. Simply put, you are not doing your long term reputation of being an elitest any good, (I'll sell one or two of my precious items at 5 times the actual value when I feel like slumming with you little people - trust me, you have that rep). Don't get me wrong, I do not condone mass recasting pretty much in lock-step along with what our XO has stated - but you are just another recaster - since you didn't create your helmet(s) out of thin air. This tells me you just want to control the market and give yourself the advantage, so you can continue to bend people over for 1,000 bucks a pop or more. It's not my intention to flame or start a war, but when was the last time you actually suited up or did anything in this hobby that didn't line your pockets? Trooping for charity causes now are you? Official member of the 501st? Doing anything but selling helmets to people for way too much money? When you start to give as much as you take - then I'll start caring about your calls to ban someone for re-casting - anything short of that - you are just another maker of items looking to sell (JMHO) P.S. If this posting is too controversial, please feel free to truncate, edit or otherwise remove anything that would violate the board rules. I will not take offense, and surely wouldn't go so far as to call for banning someone on a difference of opinion or practice..
  21. Or consider a pair of these... http://cgi.ebay.com/Horse-Riding-Steel- ... dZViewItem .. I would suggest buying them 1 size parger than normal... they look good.
