Quartermaster
I am new to the MEPD site and have only posted here a few times. Wanted to share some pics of a pack build I just finished. I know Sandtroopers are not Sandtroopers without a more "Traditional" ANH backpack (I have one myself), but I like to build things and thought it would be fun to do a few of these. I have already sold one of these packs and I have this one up on the 501st site now. Anyway, let me know what you think, good or bad. FIVE
Well, I'll say that they look about a bajillion times better than they did on the SE! Very cool man. I mean not for me — personally — but very cool indeed! Now, if you make the armor to match (weathering and all) you might force us to make an SE deployed status. (please don't do that...) haha Welcome to the boards too!
Pappy
I don't know about accuracy bro,but that looks neat!! Great job!!! Everything is made and put together nicely congrats
theGreatSot
That is one awesome pack! While it isn't screen accurate to either the OT or the SE, and doesn't qualify for MEPD status, it is seriously badass! You've got great craftsmanship and a wonderful eye for detail. I'd love to see your TD kit, as I'll bet it's top notch!
ARAKYEL
I saw your backpack on the 501 forum and very nice piece of the work.
iconoclasta_88
Thats a very nice pack. Very detailed!!! Cool bro. Great work. Saludos
Quartermaster
Thanks a lot guys! My armor is still a work in progress. I'm eventually hoping to go for MEPD status. I would have to fix my shoulder straps as they are canvas, but attached on the outside instead of under the armor. The old straps were riveted so I opted to go over to cover the holes. My regular pack also needs a few tweaks. I will post a few pics of my MR helmet after mods and weathering under the armor/weathering section. Gordonator
I'm not a fan of SE backpack either but to the general public, they can't tell which is which anyway. Anyway your back seriously looks fantastic. Give it some weathering and it will be better!
Smally
SE backpack = BOOOOOO!!!! HISSSSS!!! (IMO) Your's however looks great, You got some skills my man! Smally.
Quartermaster
Thanks for the props Brad! I know, I know it's an SE pack. It is a fun build though and looks pretty sharp when it's done. I take a few libertys with the build so I know it's not totally accurate. Most of the guys on the regular 501 site that pick one up are using it for Shadow Trooper or some Special Ops, so I get a little creative with it. I am going to be starting my pack build that will hopefully get me MEPD status soon. I've got most of the parts, just need some help with a few others. Quartermaster
Well, not sure if anyone here at MEPD would really care or not, especially since the "SE" pack is not a Sandtrooper Favorite...LOL, but it seems TK-5069 a.k.a. Chris (the guy who purchased this pack) has been approved for EIB HWT over at the FISD with this pack! He sent me his link, unfortunately, I am having trouble viewing the pictures he submitted. Just wanted to let you guys know. Here is the link if anyone wants to check it out. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=10795

Quartermaster
Don't worry Noel, I'm not trying to go "SE" or trying to promote it in any way here on the MEPD. I am a "Traditionalist" and will be very proud to wear my ANH Backpack when it is done being built. Sorry if I upset anyone. These packs were built and sold to regular 501st members who probably have no intention of going MEPD. Just wanted to share some of my projects with the guys I consider the ELITE of the Star Wars World. I was extremely surprised when I got the email with the link to the FISD from Chris that he was approved for EIB Heavy Weapons Trooper over at the FISD due in large part to my "SE" pack I built for him. Thought you all would have some interesting comments about it, that's all.

Rolf
You are on the coolest forum ever, i think i have been upset on most forums. But never here on the mepd, its the most down to earth forum i have even been on. Here there are room for the most, and i think we only have to lock around one topic once a year. We sandy´s might have it hot under the two suns, but we are cool in spirit

They do look odd and out of place from the rest of them... But if one came forward I suppose there would have to be a good discussion and approval/rejection...
