Productions
What does the new FX lid look like? Do you have any pictures? Luke
TK-J
I was under the impression FX had dropped the idea of redoing their lid because the MR bucket now so cheap and accesible
MHenry
As mentioned....just get a Redford Films MR Helmet for $110 (free postage). Modify it based on previous postings. http://www.redfordfilms.com/product/MRSW15...p;utm_campaign=

Sands
Looks like a big bucket. I have a FX bucket and a MR CE bucket that I got for $110 on ebay. MR is so much better.
TD-4510
Right off the bat I can tell that the faceplate IMO is a recast of the TE2. Either that or they just have a chip in the mold in the exact same spot by coincidence. The cap n back looks like its maybe recast from RT-MOD or a modded version of FMX. The ears look like recasts too, but with "greeblies" on the parts that are usually painted.
Johno13
So its ripped from a few sorces and not useable ? Pm's with help more than welcome
troopermaster
The whole thing looks to be an SDS recast, though it looks like the cap and back are seperate.
RoCKo
yep, i´d say SDS recast for the faceplate too. the cap´n´back looks like they did something between the old FX and a "accurate" helmet... nevertheless it´s useable for a sandtrooper costume, don´t worry! we didn´t want to derail this thread... sorry for that! geordietrooper
i would say it looks like a recast battle spec lid like what ebay seller ( imperialarmour ) sells to go with his recast fx armour
Johno13
i would say it looks like a recast battle spec lid like what ebay seller ( imperialarmour ) sells to go with his recast fx armour Any good for a STARTER lid then? Don't worry about derailing im glad of the help.
RoCKo
i think it can become a good starter lid, with a few modifications. are the grey areas painted or decals? maybe give it a new paintjob. and a new set of stickers or even handpainted details... exspecially the tube stripes are far off... TK4510 has the most accurate decals i know of right now. closest thing you can get if you decide not to handpaint. (handpainting the details can be a pain in the ***, but it would be screenaccurate) if you want it to look screenaccurate, Jez´s website has all the information you´ll need... Star Wars Helmets otherwise there are tons of interesting threads here on the board as well. KLICK ME! KLICK ME!
Daetrin
Any good for a STARTER lid then? Don't worry about derailing im glad of the help. I guess, if you're in to recasted items...

Tyranus
I have a question for the MEPD "Powers that be": Is the current FX lid approved for MEPD deployment? I have a trooper asking. I was under the impression that FISD was the only detachment saying no.
Daetrin
Actually MEPD said "no" first. FISD copied MEPD on this.
