  1. The Euro green leather pouch (one side). https://www.libertytreecollectors.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=2275&idcategory=0
  2. If it hasn't been said...a basic standing paper towel dispenser with very little work makes a good helmet stand.
  3. Sir...I canabilize or don't use the strapping included. So.....not really missed. I will be in the minority and say AM for the thighs.
  4. The dewback saddle pouches are Military German/Swiss pony fur covered backpacks c1935-55. The photo you have appears to be a French Napoleonic pack??
  5. Forgive me if this is posted elsewhere here?
  6. LongBlaster. About 80% completed. Should have it done in 3 weeks or so. http://s1121.photobu...ent=DLT20AS.jpg Hopefully, the link works.
  7. I think I need that viagra font application.
  8. DLT-20A Rifle http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/DLT-20A_blaster_rifle
  9. http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=5504&hl=mp44&fromsearch=1 I believe the comment "no Sandtooper is seen carrying" (ANH) is correct. Therefore Santroopers don't the DLT-20A is perhaps a small leap in logic.
  10. If I am carrying a DLT-20A...what pouches do I use? The MP44 pouches (as spotted previously in a screen capture)?
  11. According to the short story in "Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina" The platoon/squad onboard ship is due in to Tattooine to supplement/replace the existing garrision. They are "Fresh Fish" when they land and immediately go out looking for two droids. So...the classic Tantooine Stormtrooper Davin Felth is new to the planet during ANH. http://www.looksirdroids.com/davin_unique.htm When The Desert Wind Turns: The Stormtrooper's Tale - "Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina"
  12. I don't quite recall the timeline differences...but clones should be gone by the time of ANH. Many/most have accellerated lives anyway. Any clones about ANH would be "ancient" Davin Felth story mentions...nothing about clones. Old Sandies never die...they retire to "Sochi"
  13. http://www.erikstormtrooper.com/galacticbasic.htm Nifty info...perhaps dated? Where are the numbers? It took me 5 minutes to figureout...arabic numbers were also in use in Star Wars.
  14. FYI...Leather dye comes as either a water based dye...or a "oil" based dye. The black oil based stuff will dye everything known to man including small children, your hands and blue smurfs...to black Smurfs. If you use the waterbased stuff...it is both safer and more fugitive.
  15. A nifty radio I picked up on ebay. Just abit smaller than the sonix. http://s1121.photobucket.com/albums/l509/mhenry1959a/ Called a "Juliette transistor radio model fpr-1264a"
  16. The term Commander is used several times in "Return of the Jedi" 3 red over 3 blue insignia for Navy types
  17. In Empire Strikes Back: One of the SnowTrooper's in armor with Gen Veers wears a 4 square officers badge on the chest of his armor. Admiral refers to one of his officers as "Lieutenant".
  18. I think the Empire went with Beta instead of VHS? It is generally acknowledge orange pauldron is leaders. Dare I mention Star Trek where they have the concept of "command" or line officers. Navies tend to be organized like that. The US Marines were until WW1. In Napoleonic times it was common for the Navy to provide much of the leadership for landing parties. It is not inconcievable that Storm Troop officers are only really Lieutenants and Captains (in black). Senior officers all going into Gray. All that said...I'm more interested in the Company level organization. Army units are all over the place as to discipline and quality. In the Star Wars Galaxy...the "Army" is quite a vague concept. It could well be as was suggested...organized along WW2 German lines. The Army could also be more like a Militia or Natl Guard.
  19. "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds" Well, Wing Cdr Icono and I have tossed a few things out to extrapolate on. I will take a look at Empire Strikes Back and RevengeJ for additional mention of rank. I would ad, the Visual Dictionary mentions one of the Paldrons as a "Sergeants" Two other things to mention. I have always been struck by the postulation that Paldron colors might have more to do with function than rank...like the colored shirts worn on the flgt deck of an Aircraft Carrier. No, lets not discuss pauldron colors again Secondly...some ranks mentioned might be more "Positions" as opposed to ranks. The military often uses this form of address/title. Squad Leader...Flight Leader....Task Force Commander...Captain (of the ship)...Medic! Lastly...Vader is talking to whom when he gives the officer the order to take men down to Tanyooine and..."see to it personally Commander" A Naval Officer in Gray?
  20. ________________________________________________________________ Not a bad "stab at it" but as I think one critic stated....alot of extrapolation and filling in holes. I would think the place to start would be with the Clone based stormtroopers. (Based on the timeline....the last of the clones would be retiring or gone by the time of ANH) Then extend it into ANH. MEPD gives a big nod to "Davin Felth" He is the creation of a short story...well done I might add. When the Desert Wind Turns: The Stormtrooper's Tale. Davin as a base, creeps into the concept of the Extended StarWar Universe (EU) If you've not read this...oh, the shame! My original question comes primarily from Davin.
  21. (ANH) I've seen references to "Recruits" "Troopers" "Sergeants" "Lieutenants" "Captains" "Majors" "Colonels" and "Generals" In the Davin Felth short story. Vader talks to a "Commander" in ANH after he captures the Consular Ship. I assume this is to a Naval officer. Is there a recognition of further...more complete rank structure somewhere? Are there LtColonels...Warrant Officers, SgtMajors..Corporals? ANH gives us breadcrumbs on this. I don't want to go too far afield in the "Expanded Universe" I be just a-wondering.
