TD-1536
For a home build, that is not bad at all!! It has all the general shapes and devices.
whitecommando
You have been complimented by the God of All TDs! Great work!!! And thus, you have been complimented by me, the newB regular TD guy! For a home build, that is not bad at all!! It has all the general shapes and devices. Vadersf15t
I agree to that. I feel like when Mike says its good or puts an exclamation point or says he likes it, its like God shines through the heavens and says "this is my TD in whom i am pleased." thanks whitecommando!! No, it's not like that at all... I like to see people make the extra effort, go the extra step to make it look like the real thing as best they can. I have an appreciation for people who work hard and take pride in their work and have attention to detail.
whitecommando
Umm, yeah it is. When the 1536 approves... basically... you no longer suck! I can't wait until he says... "John, you are no longer a sucky, fat TD... I am proud of you!" That moment will be a happy time for me! HAHAHA! I agree to that. SethB6025
Nice job man, what a difference huh? The patch would be fine, but I'd do it with velcro so you could remove it for 501st "canon" events.
Vadersf15t
darn. I completely forgot about the cannon events... oh wait im not even in the 501st! well guys i recently filled out the application and i honestly pray ill make it. Darth_Nickel
One option to also help with the upper thigh "black" area. Cut the cod and Back piece of the armor. Then add straps to "add length" to the Cod and back. The Belt will cover up the gap and it will close the gap in the legs. I'm a tall guy as well... 6'3", so I did this and it seems to work well (not perfect)
Vadersf15t
well heres a picture of what my pack looked like when i got home from the parade(no more manifold, lost bee stinger and no canister whatsoever): and here i tried to give the same appearance as in the movie of the separate pices of the knobs, dial, and radio box and i am also going to work on the manifold and the stinger. weiBes trooper
looks good, great work! finding parts that match the screen used stuff is very hard to do. A frame under the bottom would add alot also.
Vadersf15t
it actually has a frame lol! its two curtain rods, one on each side. There are two screws holding each curtain rod to the top box, two holding the bottom box with one on each side underneath. pics will follow shortly as im doing the repairs now and just letting the paint dry. Vadersf15t
As far as my pack goes i feel that i am finished although i may mod over time. As for right now I am VERY happy with how it turned out and as always only wish to ask everyone elses opinion. As you can see from the pics, the dial has been painted red and you cont tell its a clock anymore, the radar dish has the "button" in the middle, The manifold looks better as do the connecting pipes and ive tried to recreate the recesses on the radio box. Here are my final pics. Would it gain entry for deployment guys??? and this is how i used my curtain rod frame:
SethB6025
I think if you weather it in a similar fashion to your armor it will be good to go.
