Rolf
Are there eny there know who good the MR project gonna be. They will make 3 types of anh helmets, and maby anh armor kit also in 07. They say they have a HDPE anh stunt helmet for reference. They call em: CE: A geometry symmetrical anh helmet, whit flat lens. LE: Wonky screen accurate, whit bubble lens. EE: In fiberglass symmetrical, whit flat lens. or Cheers.
Too Much Garlic
Last I heard the CE line is dead and they are only doing 1 Stormtrooper helmet - wonky and in fiberglass. They completely dropped the symmetrical version.

TD-1536
I'm watching their progress with interest. I'd like to know the original source helmet they're using, too. I saw the original prototype master plug at C3 and it looked like a very sanitized hero that had one side duplicated to the other, aka making it symmetrical. weiBes trooper
I have heard by a freind who visited the maker of the MR trooper helmet and my buddy Jay told me that they are using a Follano and a original screen used helmet for the MR helmet. Its strange to me why they would use a Follano if you have an original?? I may have to get me one, once they start production.
Rolf
Thanks for the reply troops. I have pm one in my garrison, who works for MR in sweden. I let you know if he has somthing new to say about it. Cheers. Rolf
tk-4224
.Its strange to me why they would use a Follano if you have an original?? missing ears on the original?
TD-1536
.Its strange to me why they would use a Follano if you have an original?? missing ears on the original? well, there is a nice stunt and hero in the LucasFilm archives. Either one would make an excellent base reference for a 'true' replica helmet.
clutch
a GF? that doesn't sound good.
weiBes trooper
Thats what i thought, why a GF when you have access to a original? theres nothing wrong with a GF,its a great helmet. This is what i was told by my friend Jay who lives in CA and meet the MR maker. He said his house was full of every MR prop ever made, would be cool to see. dirtydave
The first time I seen the pictures of the MR prototype I thought the cap looked like a GF hero.

RoCKo
but mike it´s cooler to have a bucket without ears it would even be cool to have just the ears without the bucket! (****, only having a screw from those buckets would be cool! of course a screenidentified screw... )
BingoBongo_275
The first time I seen the pictures of the MR prototype I thought the cap looked like a GF hero. I think their first prototype WAS a modified GF recast! Cheers Jez
clutch
what got modified?
TD-1536
what got modified? The plug/model I saw at C3 looked to have one side flip flopped to the other. I guess that would make it a ROTJ, but it didn't look like one of those either.
BingoBongo_275
Well it looked like they took one of GF's ANH Hero's and then made it a little more symmetrical Cheers Jez
weiBes trooper
That confirms that me friend out in CA wasnt pulling my leg.

Midnight Trooper
Here are two pictures of an almost completed helmet from the British Toy Fair http://www.rebelscum.com/photo.asp?imag ... play12.jpg http://www.rebelscum.com/photo.asp?imag ... play11.jpg I'd say it looks decent. The paint job is incomplete and likely not final and you'll notice there are flat lenses instead of bubbles, but lets talk about the shape overall. Lets here what the experts have to say.. weiBes trooper
Great pics!! the ears look way wrong and the face plate has that flat SDS look to it..IMO Thanks for sharing .
BingoBongo_275
It looks quite a lot like the sds! Thats quite funny Anyone got any more pics? Cheers Jez
Rolf
Yes looks very much like the SDS helmet, to me too. But its still a very nice helmet they got there, i think (as far as i can see from here). Are there eny one there know if they also gonna do the armor as well, a full anh kit. Cheers
RoCKo
nope! as far as i know MR only does helmets right now. i´ve read somewhere they planed to build a complete clone armor but MR negotiates these rumors. they don´t plan to do a complete armor! i hope the helmet won´t be as accurate as the E-11 blaster! i like the blaster but it isn´t accurate in every way! SethB6025
The C3 helmet did look a lot like a GF made symmetrical. At this point when I hear MR and helmet in the same sentence I can't get too excited.
