TD-4510
My chest plate hangs way too far over my ab plate. I looked at Mark Hammills armor in ANH and it looks like the prop dept. trimmed about a half inch off the bottom of the chest plate as well as the bottom of the back piece and both ends of the shoulder straps. Has anyone else trimmed the AP armor to fit them in the chest or back areas? I am 5'8".
SethB6025
My TE fits fine, but my FX was way too long. I would recommend trimming from the top of the chest plate. This way you can reduce the height without compromising the appearance.
weiBes trooper
good call on trimming the top,i had to do the same on my fx suit.it hung so low it sat on my belt,i am only 5`6 so it was something i had to do.i feel like a Ewok trooper some times.. **** stature always gets in the way of my dreams. oo-tee-dee!
Has anyone else trimmed the AP armor to fit them in the chest or back areas? I am 5'8". Oh no, I'm 5'8" but my AP is still being cut out so not had any fittings yet. Argh will I have the sane prob??!!
TD-4510
If you are 5'8" your armor will need alot of trimming. The tops of the thighs and bottoms of calves as well as the shoulder straps and chest and maybe back too. I had to trim all these areas and it was alot of work. TD6325
I'm using a TE and am 5'5"...didn't do any trimming on my Chest plate, just some shoulder padding and some careful adjustments with my ab plate and ammo belt. Here's my final product... Hope this helps somehow... Stay safe, Tim.

troopermaster
Hi Tim, I still love your weathering man,it's awesome.Your armour inspired me to do the same kind of weathering on mine which I think it makes it more realistic like the scruffy sceen used suit's -Paul. tk7602
i'm 5'9" and my AP suit fit with no trimming anywhere. i think it depends as much on build / proportions as just height (long torso and short legs would fit very differently than long torso and short legs)
TD-4510
Copy that, I have short legs, long arms and smaller torso. So I guess I am a monkey of sorts... Hee Hee

TD-4935
I'm truly loving the weathering on your armour mate . it does indeed look very natural and battle used. i'm thinking of trying to emulate that look myself. ** Hum, the weathering fine tuning continues.
