  1. I‘m thinking about it. I don‘t know if l‘m able to do it this accurate since I don‘t have a working bench with screw clamps to fix it properly. With the ABS it would work but with the aluminum pipe... this could end badly, but I might find a solution. Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
  2. Ok, the weather was nice today and I spent some time spray filling, UV curing and sanding... Some details need some more attention but i'm kind of satisfied with the result in general. The main print lines are gone and now it's time for the small files More to come next weekend
  3. Thanks mates... Yeah 3D prints are pretty tough... My Mando Blaster was much easier than this one. I got some additional tips by a member of my squad and I bought another spray filler for the minor printlines. Using liquid resin is kind of messy... But on the weekend it's time for sanding and some more sanding. I'll post some updates one the weekend. I think it's printed in PLA and the black automotive spray is a good idea.
  4. Ok, I made some progress with the build. I focused on the main body parts. First I used different types of sandpaper to get rid of the biggest printing lines. After that I used wood putty for the main parts to fill the seams. And after drying I gave it another run with the sandpaper. The result is still a little rough so the next step was to use liquid UV resin on the parts. This should fill the last seams and adds a little bit More stability to the parts. Well it‘s not really necessary but still a nice additional effect. I promise to take better pictures during the build! :-D Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
  5. Well hello there! You‘re really putting a lot of afford into your pack. I like it. the grey is looking a little bit to shiny in my opinion. Maybe because the color was fresh?!
  6. Hi folks, after finishing some other side projects around my house it's time for another SW related project. Since you're no "real" sandtrooper if you don't have a bapty, I decided to build one. At the end of last year I earned some experience with smoothing out the printlines of 3D printed parts with liquid resin. So I want to gowith a 3D printed Bapty version made by 3d props NL. I've ordered a diy kit but due the pandemic everything took much longer. Last week was BBD and I was confused why the box so big because I expected it to be much smaller. And the reason was that it almost came completely assambled. I disassambled the blaster today to seperate all the parts because smoothing out is much easier. The whole blaster is a mixture of 3D printed parts aligned arround an aluminum pipe and some parts which were casted in resin. I'll definately want to exchange some parts like the scope rail and the trigger guard with metal parts but first there will be a lot of filling and sanding. There are some real good WIP in the forum and Originalprop is a good resource. I'll keep you guys updated! Cheers Arne
  7. Congrats Joe! Now get yourself some blue milk! Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
  8. No magic at all?! I‘m shocked... [emoji16] Just kidding. How sturdy is it? I guess it is an opportunity for areas which are not that much stressed mechanically? Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
  9. Do you sleep at all?! [emoji23] Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk

  11. Beeing inspired by @Omaha Joe mannequin I added some arms to mine this weekend... Next project will be a dewback prod. My brother in law works in a company with access to a lathe machine (is this the correct translation?!) and he'll try to build the pieces based on bigwam drawings. More to come!
  12. Congrats Bro! Well deserved! Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
  13. The pack looks nice! I guess the PO is just a step away! Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk

  21. Couldn‘t find blue milk on this snowy planet but anyway... wishing you a happy new year! Cheers Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
  22. Most impressive sir! I guess from the distance you can't really see a difference. Especially because of all the nibbs and nobbs and details... But I have one question, why do you have a demilitarized MG 42 at home... I mean I love this beast because I had to carry it's younger brother all day during my time at the army but that it for the love...
  23. Hi Brothers and sisters, just wanted to post this little thread to give you guys a short review or at least some pictures of the E-11 Blaster by Imperial Arms 3D. First of all, before I desided to go all in with a complete set of armor I just wanted to have something to put on display in my man cave. I found the online shop and ordered a finished E-11 Blaster at the begin of march this year. Shipping time was approximately 6 weeks. Within this time I decided to get a sandtrooper commission by RS. I ordered the commission without a blaster because I'd just ordered one... But everybody knows what happend this year... right, Covid 19... So they guys at imperial arms weren't able to stick to the shipping date. They are located in Florida and Covid wasn't the worse thing, they got hit by a hurricane and their shop got flodded... So it really took some time for the order to get shipped. I got the tracking number at the end of october and of course the package got stuck at the customs. But after almost 8 month I got the blaster. In the mean time I got myself a blaster by RS. The quality of the 3d print is good. If I'd do it again I'd order the DIY version because I think that it's possible to get rid of the printing lines a little bit more by using a good filler. The stock is foldable but a little bit wonky because it's really thin. The triggerm and the spring are functional. Maybe I'll give it another round with filler in the future to make it look a little bit better. I guess it is nothing to troop with and just for displaying.
