  1. Congrats! Take you time, and as always, ask questions and post pictures! Check out whitearmor.net for build tutorials on the armor if you cant find them here. Lots of suit specific stuff there. EDIT: the strips are screen accurate and in my opinion (im an engineer!?!), form a stronger joint and just look better. I would 100% recommend going that route.
  2. thanks, more progress pics tonight
  3. I am building up a "move along" pack from a kit graciously supplied by dirty boy Here are some of the parts painted up ready to be attached. Locating the seed trays on the frame. I plan to attach the inner tray with zip ties, and then the outer tray with 10-32 screws which will be painted and hidden. I had originally planned to use the pandatrooper method of zip tie'ing the whole thing but am worried about armor malfunctions so am playing it safe. Top tray box on the frame, ready to be attached...still need to clean up that paint line...or else weather over it! Will post updates on the syphon when the paint is dry! I am following pandas build on that.
  4. I too should be getting a similar box in the near future...will be watching with interest.
  5. Hey all Names Dan from Golden Gate Garrison. I have been a FISD member for a few years now but just recently made the decision to go dirty. Project is just getting off the ground now so i hope to have a suit assembled in a few months assuming all goes well...maybe faster depending on motivation. Cant wait to get on deployment!
  6. The chopper shots are awesome.
  7. And remember, if your ever concerned about your weathering you can always go roll around in a planter or something!
  8. Awesome...Hopefully i can use the new site to order all my spiffy TD decals!
  9. That is a true Zen statement
  10. Im going to get the accurate ones...but i gotta have the shiny shades for sunny patrols! Thanks guys
  11. What material are the shiny green lenses made from? Or are people backing the normal green lenses with another material? And, is there a good source for it here at MEPD?
  12. Requesting access http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=13029 Dan Norgan TK4984
  13. Yeah, dirty boy makes some. once i get all the parts putting it together should be no problem. This is like my 3rd TK suit so i have all the cutting sanding equipment i could ever use.
  14. Id like to build my own T-21 blaster, but i dont have wood working equipment to do the stock, receiver and grip. Does anyone offer make these in wood or other materials that are available to the legion? If not, what is my best option for obtaining/making one?
  15. excellent, thank you gentleman.
  16. What backpack kits are out there that are reasonably accurate? I am looking to hopefully build from a kit rather than a full scratch build Thanks
