  1. I was the TD on the field...it was an awesome experience. The Golden gate garrison had about 10-15 members there in various costumes.
  2. We cant forget to include you Mr. Dirty in the roll of awesome troopers here!
  3. Finally got my 501st TD approval. Now i will go take my Deployment photos tonight.
  4. My TD approval officially just came through after like 2 months lol.\ So add 1
  5. Requesting sandtrooper section access. TD-4984 http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=13029
  6. I have about 6 in progress or near to starting TD's in my Garrison now. Hopefully this will continue. Add this to our 10 existing TDs
  7. ATA is by far the best deal out there i think.
  8. I think im there as a TK, no TD i think...
  9. Yup. AP to USA was only like $45 or 50 i think
  10. The Golden Gate Garrison will be supporting this event as well.
  11. You will probably be fine with ATA or AP. AP fits me like a glove, so if you are bigger it may be kind of tight.
  12. I personally feel that the armor quality is better with AP than with the ATA suit. The helmet issues Panda brings up are true, but overall i feel the AP armor is better (i own both AP and ATA). But, the ATA was an easier build. However, 1 thing that biases my view is i am pretty skinny (5'11" and 155lbs) so the AP armor fits me like a glove. I had to trim down the ATA suit a TON to get it to fit. I could easily have fit it if i was more like 200lbs.
  13. wow. I think its awesome btw.
  14. i posted on FISD too, but switch to snaps or all your TD accessories will knock your chest plate off
  15. If you need AP specific advice, let me know...i have built a few of them. They are a tough build at times, but well worth it.
  16. There are several members here who sell most everything you need...im sure they will chime in but check with Quartermaster and DirtyBoy for starters
  17. One of our subcontracting companies has one of these and they charge something like $500/hr to make parts. So its probably like a $1000 plastic wrench.
  18. Only problem with 3D printed parts is that they are relatively weak. however, they are great for making molds to cast off of.
  19. Just get some big pouches to cover the thighs!
  20. Great to see you over on the dirty side, Mike! Looking good so far. You might just be able to blend that top edge and pull the thighs up higher...but not sure without seeing it in person
  21. Damon Be sure to hook up with the Central California garrison of the 501st. Great bunch of troopers there. Also, dont be shy to pop in and say hi at the Golden Gate Garrison (NorCal) as well! Also, i would recommend setting up your account over at whitearmor.net as well. That is the site for normal stormtroopers and there is much good build advice available there as well!
  22. You can fix the return edges with a heat gun. And yea, my ATA suit has some weird returns. Pandatrooper has a great tutorial here http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=12972
