  1. Hey everyone, just checking in and seeing how everyone is doing. Been somewhat invisible lately...and it seems my Trooping mission may be on hold for a while. My Police Recruit file has move forward through the final phase and I may be sent away for training next month (I hope) which means 6 months of recruit life But then when I get my posting I'll be gearing up make no mistake! Now I just have to sit anxiously until the phone rings....
  2. Well, you can always download a 30 day trial of PS5 for whatever you need it for, or if you can get your hands on photoshop Elements it has alot of the functionality of Photoshop itself, but is lacking alot of stuff for the more intense work...but is much more affordable, and usually free when you buy a tablet
  3. That would be an awesome bumper sticker
  4. Thats awesome! Bet the kids loved it!
  5. Well...given my home/monetary situation may stop me from getting any armor for a while, there's no reason I can't start on the scratch built peripherals! I have plans for a a T-21 as well...co-incidentally I have an old paintball gun whose grip and bolt housing look exactly like it...just needs a stock and big barrel with ribbing attached plus a few other bits. In anycase I have taken a look through here at some of the packs so I think I'll make a run for some components tomorrow. I'll put up any progress pics and gladly take advice from the vets! Then move onto the T-21 after that.
  6. 50 bucks? well thats ALOT lower than I expected XD Thats completely do-able. I'm just checking up on Fed Ex now myself. Still won't be able to make any kind of a buy until I get my call for training anyhow (want to make sure I know income will be steady first ) Though ATA did give me a quote today too which wasn't bad at all
  7. Happy Birthday! Have a good one Cookbooks aren't all bad....if they are filled with BBQ recipies anyway. Thats my version of cooking Cheers mate!
  8. I sent a mail to ATA inquiring about their stuff....my one worry though is shipping across the border to Canada. Won't that be killer? Then again I haven't really ordered anything large to be shipped before like that, which is why I was leaning to Canada side makers....I suppose I should find out about shipping costs too eh?
  9. Hmm...well I'm about 5'11" 185 lbs. I have a 32" waist and leg...and I need a belt with 32" jeans so, I presume I would be okay with something like AP armor. Though with zero experience modifying things like this and no one in my province who has any either (that I know anyway) I would like to snag a kit that doesn't require alot of changing....outside trimming and dirtying up and assembly. In anycase it narrows things down alot when the time comes thanks for the advice! I'll have to check out that link again too.
  10. That looks great, looking forward to the weathered version Oddly enough I went into teaching myself just the past year after leaving my former studio...and the school shut the program down after I taught out the last group going through their arts program, then patted my head and sent me off to unemployment >.> which is where I stand now until I hear something from the Police I hope Counting pennies is not much fun at all. Glad to see someone in a similar situation ended up with a nice suit! gives me hope
  11. I'll move the image to photobucket just in case
  12. Hehe thats awesome! My wife works at a Wal Mart, I showed her the pics and her response was "How come no one can do that at ours!" XD
  13. Thanks for the replies! They aren't the only places I have considered no...but I live in eastern Canada so going further away is going to hurt shipping wise big time. Being on an island has it's distinct disadvantages I didn't know RT was in BC though....AP is much closer to me. As for my size I'm 5'11"/6' and 185 lbs exactly (well this morning I was ) Though if his stuff is very good I don't mind going for BC....I could possibly be posted there anyway once I get through Depot I'll take a look at that site too. Any other advice for an admitted kit newbie? What other places were you thinking about Dirty?
  14. Just curious, been looking over some sites and other info...and I am wondering what peoples take on AP armor vs. RT-Mod Armor is? Is either considered more durable/reliable? Which is more cost effective? (I don't mind paying when the time comes, but I always like the most out of my dollar) I have had some bad experiences in the past with internet orders and such...so when the time comes and I do track down a kit. I want to be certain about where I go. One upside for me is that both are in Canada
