  1. IT LOOKS LIKE CRAP! But in a good way. I like how you captured the heavy wear look. You are right that it doesn't look "dirty" as much as worn. Sill cool though.
  2. OK, I'm in the trimming process now. I'm deathly afraid that I'm going to trim too much off of my AP armor. May of the pieces that get glued together have raised flat edges about 23mm wide. It looks like the two halves butt together and the strips are glued to the top affixed to both halves of the raised flat edges. This would give me an untrimmed area of 46mm when butted together. Am I to use a strait edge and xacto knife to cut each of the flat areas prior to butting them up? Example: Using TM's instructions - When cutting the thighs, I should leave 10mm raised flats on each side to butt together under the 20mm strip and then glue? Thanks, Steve
  3. So, Is this figure out yet? I haven't seen anything new in the stores lately.
  4. Yes, I must say that your butt is breathtaking
  5. Lookin good.....BTW, did you drill the barrel while it was resting on your shoe?
  6. You lucky guys need to post a lot of pictures when its over so us "unfortunate ones" can enjoy a little bit of the event too. Excellent work on the banner!
  7. Would you recommend snaps over some sort of adjustable straps. I could probably hide the adjustable part if the tolerances/lengths were already pretty close.
  8. Seth, I am also looking into a snap system for my armor. Are you saying that the originals had exposed snaps or likely exposed snaps that would be positioned mid-way between the two pieces that you are connecting? Like this -> ]==0==[ or still behind one of the two armor pieces like this -> ]===[=0= Where "[" and "]" are the edges of the armor. Hope that makes sense. Steve
  9. Thanks for the bump. It puts things in perspective better.
  10. Man, Wish I could afford that MG-34. I was looking at my department's old photos and found out that we had a Lewis Gun in our arsenal at one time. I can only wonder what ever happened to it. Some past chief probably has a **** nice paperweight lying around .
  11. Oh, I will...and hopefully soon I can be a full member!
  12. Oh Yeah....the FEDEX guy came today with a big box....My AP armor finally arrived. Its like Christmas in May Can you tell I'm excited? Steve
  13. I'll send you a PM with my contact for AP out of Canada.
  14. HAHAHA. Wow, what this thread has become.
  15. I am also interested in one of these lids. Any idea what price range we are looking at? I think I missed it in the thread. Thanks
  16. Looks like fun Good thing you didn't have an armor malfunction
  17. It almost looks like a bicycle tire pump. Hmmmmm
  18. My thoughts exactly Seth. If I lived there I would be going around taking old toilets apart. HAHAHAHA LMAO Think I'll go check out my toilet now......
  19. Great idea for padding, thanks!
  20. I can't make it to C4, so you can put me to the back of the list and let someone else who is going have one first.
