Hey all, Recently I did a troop that lasted around three hours in full TD kit. Nearing the last hour are so my shoulders and neck were throbbing in pain from the backpack. I'm looking for suggestions on how to wear the backpack and remain comfortable. Also do you have suggestions on how to keep hands from drying out after wearing rubber gloves for an extended period of time? Thanks, Pat

Backpack looked more like the SE version to me (at least one of them).

Really like the weathering on your armor. Also really like the sandtrooper painting on your wall. -

Hurray! Glad you made it, Uwe! -
David, welcome to the MEPD! Have you gotten your armor yet?

Just using burnt umber may be enough. I only used burnt umber on my armor. You can get different tones just by using one color depending on how much you thin it out.

So far so good!

Jeff, Looks really good. You might want to add a picture of the snap on the upper right part of the ab armor. -
Ray, Glad you're back. Looking forward to seeing your new armor.

I can't believe it! I'm shocked and amazed and beside myself right now. Stunned. Thank you! I owe a big shout out to UKSWrath since it was only through his encouragement, advice and patience that SWAT was even attempted. Also thank you to Smally and the command staff for approving me. Still in shock here. -
Wow, great work on this so far!

Good luck with your build!

If this keeps getting bumped up daily as a reminder, I'll keep doing it. Currently at second place! -

Try contacting Lewis (slavefive) of Sci-fire. They used to make them. http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showuser=430 -
T-21 Finishing Question - Barrel Detail

Very nice. Great job on the details. -
If it was me I'd go for the ATA kit. The details for TD are quite a bit different than the TK and may be easier to achieve starting fresh.

Here's a pic of the shirt design I have:

Hey Joe, I don't know whose handguards you have, but I have Karen's and she recommended this Loctite for the flexible hand plates. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000Y3LHXW/ref=sr_ph?ie=UTF8&qid=1431485319&sr=1&keywords=loctite I did a test run by placing one on the glove and marking where it looked best, then gluing. You paint the bonder where the edges of the hand plate will be. Run a line of glue around the edge of the plate, place it and apply pressure. The glue hardens in just a few minutes so be sure of the hand plate placement before gluing.

I have a t-shirt that says "Mountain Dewback" and has a sandtrooper riding a dewback in a take-off of the MD logo.

While you are waiting you could look into buying pouches and a pauldon. You may also need to get another pair of boots since the TD ones will need to be "dirty". P.S. My wife wants to someday visit Prince Edward Island because she is a big Anne of Green Gables fan.

A few months ago I came to the realization that the sandtroopers shown on screen could be two different squads. Why? We see one group track the droids from the pod to the sandcrawler to the Lars homestead. This group could have come from the Star Destroyer since they seem more adept (and ruthless) at doing their job. The second group would be the road block group who let the droids escape via the power of the Force. I would put them as a local garrison/police squad - a portion of which show up at the cantina after Han kills Greedo. The Star Destroyer group are contacted by Garindan and then attack the Falcon. I'm basing all of this on the Falcon attack scene. When the Falcon lifts off one group is still in the hangar. We then immediately see what appears to be part of the roadblock group watch the Falcon take off. If part of the locals joined the Destroyer group, it would also explain why there are multiple squad leaders and sergeants shown on scree. So it may be a stretch on my part dreaming this up or I just have too much time on my hands.
