I just couldn't take the crap pintjob of the Kotobukiya.

I did a total repaint & am much happier with it.

I couldn't even display it before.

LMK what you guys think.

Here's a "before and after " shot

Koto on the left, repaint on the right

Yours looks a **** of a lot better than what was originally applied to it. What did you use to remove the original paint job? And, what paints did you use to give it a much more realistic weathered effect? Great job!

Unbelievable - the pauldron & gloves look like real leather. Amazing

So, will you be doing this as another side business

I've got that sitting on my desk here at work. Every day I find myself looking at it and thinking, "I need to repaint that." Great job! Please let us know what you used. Did you strip it first?

I didn't strip the old paint off.

I taped off the black areas & repainted the whole thing in Flat white.

Then I touched up the black with "Apple barrel" 20404 Black acrylic craft paint.

The "dirty" areas are "Tamiya" XF-52 Flat Earth Acrylic paint from your local hobby store.

some of the colors are a mix of both.
