iron ram
Here is what I want it to look like Here is what I'm starting with All I need is a small piece of deer or fox pelt ( may have to use fake fur ) I will extend the front flap so it comes down to the bottom of the bag and add a new piping around the edge and leather strap to keep it closed So far I have $11 into it http://www.armynavydeals.com/asp/products_details.asp?SKU=5796&ST=

Kiwisapper
The pack looks like a German army pony fur pack, they where made during WW1 and production stopped early to mid 1930's as a canvas pack was cheaper. They where general leather with a pony/horse hair flap on them go for around $100-00 to $200-00 dollars on e-bay. You may find cheaper ones on the German reenactor forums.
