All I need is a small piece of deer or fox pelt ( may have to use fake fur :( )

I will extend the front flap so it comes down to the bottom of the bag and add a new piping around the edge and leather strap to keep it closed

So far I have $11 into it

yer but taking is a b!t@h, chemicals involved, time and it may work out more expensive it you tan it your self how many would you get out of the jacket?

I can get a few out of the jacket but just too much money

Hunted the net for fake fur the ones I liked we're $24-$36 a yard ( it's fake for gods sake )

Tanning a fox is no big deal just got to find one that's fresh

The pack looks like a German army pony fur pack, they where made during WW1 and production stopped early to mid 1930's as a canvas pack was cheaper. They where general leather with a pony/horse hair flap on them go for around $100-00 to $200-00 dollars on e-bay. You may find cheaper ones on the German reenactor forums.
