TB4097
I have been searching the forums doing research on the boots, and found its a bit of daunting task. So I defer to my fellow experts. could you all give me some pointers or recommendations on wear to acquire the proper boots. I am not the most inclined when it comes to making, so purchasing would be my best bet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. John
iconoclasta_88
Have you checked out tkboots.com Those are pretty much the most accurate available and are ready to wear. Just email them before ordering to make sure your number is available. Saludos
FIVE
Did you look at the MEPD Officer Training thread as well? (which lists TKBoot.com)
TB4097
I checked TKBoots and bookmarked them. Now my next question is I wear a 10.5, but they sell whole sizes. Do boots run big or small. I have typical feet, no anomolys or anything, should I order 10 or 11?
iconoclasta_88
I would go for the 11, and if needed added an insole (is that term correct?). Consider that trooping requires a lot of standing up straight with an uncomfortable armor and a pack and BFG... you don't want shoes that are too small. But I must say that my boots are not TKboots and have never wear a pair from them. Just wait till someone else gives you their oipinio... Saludos. FIVE
I wear a 10.5 too and get a 10 from them. But Juan's idea is good... I may get an 11 next time.
sandtrooper
I wear 10.5 too. I ordered size 11 and they fit fine.
Rolf
I´m a US 10,5 too, i got them in size US 11. And they fit perfectly, also because they are a bit pointy vs. sneakers
Wolf
ya i ordered an 11 also for my 10.5. just add an insole and your golden
DirtyBoy
Go with the 11 bro....its much easier to add padding than to try and cram into a smaller set. When you are trooping a parade or something, you will be thankful for the insoles and the little bit extra.
FIVE
This is good to know!
sandtrooper
Insoles are definitely a requirement for TK boots.
jokerfish
I just got my size 12 in and they fit pretty snug. Right where I want them. I wear an 11.5 so I would go with the full size larger to be safe
