Quartermaster
That magic brown box came today (finally) and I have my work cut out for me to get this ready by Halloween. This is a kids sized set of TD armor I purchase from a guy on the Legion boards. Everything is pulled in .060 ABS except the bucket. The bucket is HIPS and will need to be painted. Starting on the lid tonight. Backpack already 90% finished, Jr. sized of course. Will post pics along the way. Hey Noel, any chance a 9 yr old can request deployment? LOL! Juliusthegreat
It's kind of a surprise. At some point I am going to have to tell him so that I can fit it to him properly. Maybe you can see if some parts fits when he is asleep, unless he awakes very easy. But I now know what I am going to get my soon to be born son....about 8-9 years from now
DirtyBoy
Just take a pair of his pajamas and stuff them. I know it sounds odd but pjs fit tighter and will give you a real close measurement

Quartermaster
Update on the build. Almost everything is done. Just doing final fitting and strapping. I have built and strapped this just lke a full size suit. Please ignore the red Under Armor top and PJ bottoms! LOL Installed white pleather side gap fillers with velcro front and back. Added three buttons and center ab section. Cod piece and butt piece are separate from back and ab. They are attached via 1" strip of industrial strength velcro so if he has to use the bathroom, they can be removed easily without dropping the whole coustume. Armor came with drop boxes so I put them on with velcro strips. (May be doing his as a Heavy Weapons Trooper) Helmet is assembled and painted (used Krylon Fusion Whte Gloss - 3 coats). All traps are done and outlined, still have to do the tube stripes. Just have to install the rubber brow trim, the bottom trim, the lenses, frown mesh, hovis and some padding. Even going to put a small fan and mic/amp in there! Here are some pics...
