FIVE
There's been the question of whether or not the TD E-11 had the counter and other "add-ons" for a while now. In fact the way the CRL is currently written it says, "Hengsler Counter is optional, as it was not seen." I am not proposing (yet) that we change this, but I found proof that the counter was, in fact, not on the sandtrooper guns. This is a screen grab from "Star Wars Revisited"... so it has the "flying droid" in it... but it is the clearest view of the gun we see. Notice you can clearly see the ammo clip extending, but there is obviously no Hengsler counter on the gun. Here's a "close up." And here's one showing where the counter would be... iconoclasta_88
I really hope there was a counter since I just finished my E11 and added the whole stuff to it... HEHEHE... Anyway, I do have somewhere a picture were you can see that the blaster has wires, therefore, it should have a counter and power cylinders. Im going to look for it and pst it later on. Saludos. iconoclasta_88
Ok.. I found them. Not just one, but several... check this out: I think it is pretty safe to say that TDs E11 had power cylinders, counters and ammo... at least one of them. What do you think??? Saludos. Daetrin
I say allow both unless there is a good reason not to, given the photo evidence of both being seen.

Caomhanach
If there is no conformity between packs, what chance is there with blasters? So yeh, both...
FIVE
That's what I'm sayin'... both! I had never seen this angle though that proves it is sometimes missing. Had anyone else? (probably)
Gordonator
Seems like one of the many inconsistencies during the early days of filming the movies.
kenthork
some blasters have the counter and other haven't it. exemple with an ANH blaster without counter and cylinders. -> in my side i wonder if the "move along" have the counter?
