Scootch
Those two helmets look great! What color/brand of paint did you use for the beige HDPE look on the ANH bucket? Thanks bro! I used Rustoleum Paint for plastic "Taupe". I'd like to try more of a "snot green" next time. AJCG turned me on to the process with a build thread he did for an ESB helmet. Pretty cool. Rolf
Here in Denmark, we don´t have spray cans as strong as the rustoleum. So i just brush hand paint my TE2 hips helmets whit gloss white humbrol. You can´t see its brushed on, and are crazy strong, i guess just as stronger then the rustoleum Sometimes i just let them be not painted, and let them stay white hips. When the weathering, and hair spray comes on, you can´t all most not see if its painted white or not any way. I will add a few pics here, of my last TE2, not painted body armor and helmet. Scootch
Can't even tell it's not painted. Very sweet!!!
Rolf
Can't even tell it's not painted. Very sweet!!! Thanks bro I guess we can all ways paint the helmet white gloss, if the paint brand is strong/solid. But i like that fact, that a hips TD body armor is not painted, so there is no paint to be scratch off while trooping through life. Scootch
Those are sweet dude! Hey curious, compared to the MRCE how big are those beauties? Checked it out with my CAP ESB and CAP Sandy. The MRCE has a gnarley cut out at the neck. No wonder it's a good troopin helmet! Lots of airflow. The MRCE seems taller in the dome but the CAP seems to have more "face-room" and is much lighter in weight. I guess one could cut out more of the neck if he had to, then it's just a question of adding longer trim.
