TD 8733
I am sitting here watching ANH in HD. One thing that jumped out at me right away is how beat up and dirty the TK's are. While they are not as dirty as Sandtroopers they are by no means polished and clean like so many TK's in the 501st take pride in being. I have not seen one clean suit yet. What I do see is lots of scratches, black smudges that look like grease and most of the boots are dirty. This is kinda funny.
Daetrin
That's a great observation to have made. Someone also pointed out that there has never been an unblemished clone in either EPII or EPIII either. Not saying that TK's should have weathering, but it does help alleviate the expectation for them all to be shiny at least.
SethB6025
Yep, I hate the mirror shine people think they should have. If you are cleaning, polishing, and novus-ing your armor then it is much more shiny than anything in the films. Leave some scuffs, if you're cleaning your armor you are making it look fake. TD-4935
i roughed up my TK to emulate the movie look a little. i used the sole of my boots and rubbed them on all raised areas. i also never clean it after a troop so there is some acumulative muck. i personally prefer to look a like i've seen better days and not fresh out of the quarter masters/armoury. TD5422
you can just let the TK armor weather naturally
clutch
Exactly. I have come to admire the black scuffs and dings I get on my armor.
troopermaster
I like my armour rough as ****, just like on screen I couldn't wait to add the scuff marks and smudges. It makes the armour look much more realistic an much better IMO
