IronBronson
I wanted to put some wood stakes in my shoulder pouch to make it pop more instead of it being flat. Was planning on cutting it down to a size that would fit in the pouch nice and snug then paint them black. Wasn't even sure if this was allowed for basic approval. Please let me know what you guys think? -Bronson

bigwam
I would use foam rubber.
Airborne Trooper
I believe mine have balsa wood or some other filling light weight wood painted black. The little pouch has foam in it.
dak
I put small PVC black pipe cut to length in each sleeve. Then 3 small ones in the small side pouch
