trooper1 Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Well, kept this under wraps for a while, but ehh what the HAY!!! A long while back I purchased a real Sterling! After shooting it a while, and growing bored. LOL I have disassembled it, and It is now on the way of becoming an E-11. I had to do some things to remove it from my firearms log. I can no longer be fired. Barrel has been replaced with a plastic sleeve, and firing pin and other items have been removed. Now its getting stripped and repainted soon. Then to add the additions! Well here is a glimpse of it! Quote
nick.black Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Gorgeous mate. In my line of work I've had my hands on a real Sterling, and would dearly love to get myself one, however they are very difficult to get hold of and come with a plethora of issues owning and holding one in this country, its just not worth it in the long run. SID Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Beautiful the material on E-11. I'm jealous. Quote
Smally Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Wow, lucky you Jay. I take it you'll be doing a build thread? Quote
Smally Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Ooh, that bolt is looking well worn, it must have had quite an active life! Any problems when firing? Quote
inglorious trooper Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 would be great if you had film of you firing this! Quote
trooper1 Posted February 9, 2013 Author Posted February 9, 2013 Lol yeah, that would be cool! I never thought about it. And oh yeah. It did jam up a lot when firing. Usually about 6-9th round would jam Quote
trooper1 Posted February 9, 2013 Author Posted February 9, 2013 Guys, I can get anyone one of these for around $475.00 The ones I can get are reproduction semi automatics. Quote
Deadpool Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 That with a pinned stock or no stock? Was going to go throughout a local guy for an SBR and do a build, but really I want to build a blankfire only. Quote
trooper1 Posted February 10, 2013 Author Posted February 10, 2013 The semi's are exact replicas, except have a longer 16" barrel. Quote
Deadpool Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Ok those have the standard shroud not the extended one. That was the one I was going to do the SBR with. Quote
SCRIBBLER Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 That's sweetness right there, Brother! Nice! Quote
trooper1 Posted February 10, 2013 Author Posted February 10, 2013 Ok those have the standard shroud not the extended one. That was the one I was going to do the SBR with. One problem. You purchase an SBR it will cost you an extra $250.00 for a tax stamp. Quote
