Looks very nice, and CAP has done a nice job producing these considering. FYI, the CAP helmets are recast TE helmets. This is common knowledge and not rumor.

For anyone thinking of buying house this year
TD-1536 replied to TD-1536's topic in Off Topic Cantina
I couldn't afford to buy anything if I didn't have dual incomes (girlfriend) to pay half the mortgage. We're looking at home in the $300,000 - $335 range and at 5%, our monthly mortgage would be around $2,250. No one person can afford that. And in the area where we live, anything less than 300K is either too small or a disaster. We've also noticed that prices have reverted back to what they were in 2004 and 2005. One house we wanted to buy sold for over half a million in 2005, and was now listed at $350k. Almost everyone's tax assessments have dropped $100k in just one year! It's staggering to see the numbers. -
For anyone thinking of buying house this year
TD-1536 replied to TD-1536's topic in Off Topic Cantina
Quick update before getting back to work. I'm almost three months in to house-hunting, have looked at 30 homes, put down one contract - then pulled it due to the comments of a structural engineer I had to hire because some realtors are not disclosing things they should. Here's some things we've learned. - $8,000 tax credit to new home buyers until the end of this year. - Home prices have dropped dramatically, even in a "recession-proof" area like the Suburbs of DC in VA and MD. - Many people, just like me who sat on the sidelines waiting for all this to happen, are now swooping in and buying things at bargain pricing. - Interest rates are at 5% and may possibly go lower. - Many investors continue to have unscrupulous business practices, particularly towards those with FHA loans. What we're starting to see more and more of, are investor banks coming in, buying distressed properties, flipping them and re-selling them within 90 days. What they don't tell people is that they refuse to deal with FHA loans which is against the f'ing law! We may have uncovered a massive new level of bank fraud that could prevent many new home buyers from buying anything! If you're in the market, take your time and do your home work! This is absolutely the best time to buy if you have a stable income. -
*done* TD-3409 awaiting deployment *done*

Hello and welcome. As stated already, you'll need to become a legion member first, then qualify for Deployment. Also, the TK ID '409' is already taken. -
I have some questions about updating my profile info
TD-1536 replied to TD-5491's topic in The Barracks
Zac, TheGreatSot is your man to update the Deployed web page. To change anything on the Legion site, you need to go through your GWL. -
I think this is a cool idea and am on board if it happens. (pending how the next few months pan out ) If more info solidifies, it looks as if the MEPD will need to represent and organize. We'll worry about that as the year progresses.

All updated.

Congratulations and welcome to the Office! Please PM you your mailing address, I have something nice to send you. -
I think people with that mentality have an elitist frame of mind, one where replica movie props should be coveted, and only the most accurate be available to those with huge bank accounts. Their argument is one based around greed and sustaining an items investment value. But people like that have no place in this community or this forum. We are costumers and garage prop makers, here to share information and have fun.

That's a good way of describing the situation, Art. As DL, it also puts me in a very uncomfortable place... having to resolve these kind of disputes.

I think that's because 1. In general, the actors were short. 2. The shoulder bells were not attached very well (we've seen black gaffers tape), and I think it was Mollo who even said they hastily assembled the sandtroopers at the last minute to be on schedule for the Tunisia shoot. I know I've tried to replicate that look, but I'm 6-feet tall, and having the shoulder bells hang really low to compensate not only looked odd, but felt odd, too.

Real MG-15 for $599!
TD-1536 replied to WhiteCommandoV2's topic in T-21, DLT-19, RT-97c Heavy Blasters
Yeah, a guy in my Garrison (Rob) has both a real MG34 and the MG15 - both are ridiculously too heavy to troop with. -
Fun with FX armor, neat!!!

Dude.... AWESOME PICTURES!! The wigs, Anthony Forest - perfect!!! I could do a Con party every month, they're so much fun!

Not happy. The CRL as it pertains to the TD has been totally rail-roaded. They (Mark? The counsel?) completely threw out everything we submitted last year and re-wrote it with zero respect to "Deployed" standards.

Quick Question, Whats the Clone equivalentof a Sandtrooper?
TD-1536 replied to 6170's topic in Off Topic Cantina
Good question. Hopefully, in the new Clone Wars series, maybe they'll show some love. Heck, it seems that every week they keep introducing a new Clone variant, scouts and pilots. -
I'd like to welcome the new MEPD Executive Officer... you may better know him as the only person to run against me this year, TD-7603 - Jay Zareck! I figured what better person to bring on board than someone who shared many of the same goals as I and had the enthusiasm to see them through. He has some great ideas and we'll both work together to make things happen. Looks like everyone who voted this year should be happy! Welcome Jay!

Yeah, no kidding! Looks killer and nice build on the back-pack!
