  1. Nice work Mike. I currently play the Space Wolves myself along with Black Templars and Eldar. I haven't decided what craftworld my Eldar will be though, if any. I'll have to post some pictures of my army.
  2. Here is "Kelgrim Forn" my heavy Mando and last Mando. Enjoy!
  3. Great pictures. Looks like ya'll had a great time. Can we recruit them as "Sith Cheerleaders"?
  4. Thanks all! This is our second trip there this year and now it's official with the Hospital. We will be going there twice a year now..spring and fall. Along with R2-KT we hopefully will have R2-D2 with us on future trips. Hopefully we can drag Chris Bartlett down with his C-3PO this fall. Duke University Children's Hospital will hopefully be coming up this fall as well.
  5. From what I understand that is a double sided pauldron. One side black and one side white for different scenes. (Kind of an old movie trick and saved money on that movie budget at the time.) I'm surprised no one has done this yet.
  6. It's called the "Spacepack" and it was my first pack. It's a nice pack IMO and I've always enjoyed how the entire back opens for storage. It's a very comfortable pack to wear too. But I only paid like $85 for the kit seven years ago (close out special) before they stopped making them. $199 is way to much:y: I also have my home made pack that is more screen accurate. You can make your pack far more cheaper. So yea, I'd skip it.
  7. I like how you have it now. Looks great. You just need to get the diamond for the left knee.
  8. On Saturday, June 28th, 11 members of the Carolina Garrison were able to brighten the day for about 15 children at the Hemby Children's Hospital in Charlotte, NC. We were fortunate enough to have Legion Founder Albin Johnson join us to troop and he was able to bring R2-KT along for a day with the kids. Albin was also kind enough to bring R2-KT shirts and figures that garrison members gave out, along with Legion coloring books and some Star Wars trading cards to the kids we visited with. We also really made one young boy's day that was supposed to go to camp next week but now is not able to go because he is in the hospital. He said that our visit made up for him not being able to go to camp. Everyone, patients, staff and troopers alike, had a great time. The Carolina Garrison also has plans with the hospital to make these visits a regular twice a year event. A local news station filmed our visit and it will be airing tonight. As soon as I can get a link to the footage I will post it here. I want to thank Albin and all my fellow troopers for making this event a success. Check out photos from the event below. (Write up by Luis Diaz) My wife Connie and I with Albin and R2-KT.
  9. Nice pauldrons. I'm getting one of the white ones. I have a friend who does airbrushing and I want it to have a patriotic theme for the 4th of July. We have a 4th of July parade next week and hopefully I'll have it done by then.
  10. We'd love to have you down Mike...and that goes for the rest of you TD's. This is sorta turning into the ComicCon of the Southeast.
  11. It was good talking to you too. PM me your phone and address bro. We can get together when you come back to Charlotte. Pascal, from the Swiss Garrison, will be in Charlotte late July. Hopefully we can get some folks together to entertain him. He was here last year and we had a blast. My wife and I took him out for some BBQ and my wife made him some good old southern cornbread...he loves that stuff.
  12. Heroes Convention 2008 This event has been going on for some time now and thousands flock to this growing event each year. Literally hundreds of artist and writers from the comic book world (Marvel, DC, Dark Horse and countless others) fill this event not to mention some well known celebrities come too. For a few years now the organizers of this event have been gracious enough to give us a table and raise money for our charity (Make A Wish). We raised $140 and had a great time to boot. Get this, the event is located at 501 College Street in the Convention Center in Charlotte NC. If you went to any of the Celebrations in Indy, the convention center here looks a lot like that Convention Center. Who knows, we might have a 501st Convention here on 501 College Street..in the Carolinas where it all began. I wanted to thank my fellow Troops for coming out. Cheralyn Lambeth, TB-976 Mike Johnson, SL-9918 Jennifer DeVoll, ID-9551 Troy Papanicolaou, TD-9914 Ashia Yother, ID-2551 Rob Readling, SL-9895 Dave and Ken Jordan, TB-6559 and TB-1345 Luis and Hope Diaz, DZ-6570 and DZ-5232 Matt Davis, ID 5714 Andy Cobb,TD-932 Candice Johnson, IG-5503 And me TD-5766 hehe. Yours truly. {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif
  13. Are the two colored pauldrons canon or are they just for fun? I like them.
  14. The battle damage looks great.
  15. Love the F-15 and F-4 Phantom. Is the center model an F-14? 49er's Fan? Ya think? oh, and the Man Cave is SHWEEEEET!!
  16. I took a really hard look at the quality too. The stitching looked durable. They are actually made well and should hold up. You'll find them in the WorkOut/Athletic wear section.
  17. I just recently went from a One Piece bodysuit to a Two piece suit.
  18. Great pics. Took me a sec to adjust my eyes to see the Shadow Trooper. Yay!! More Sandies in Scotland will be nice I'm sure.
  19. You all look very sharp. Looks like a very worthy event too. Great job. Thanks for sharing the pics .
  20. This is sad news indeed. I met him in Chicago back in 87' at the Halloween convention. A great person and talent that will be missed.
