  1. I might be wrong about it being a TD, because it doesn't have a back pack. So Target has a large section devoted to SW and the upcoming Force Awakens. Lots of nice stuff, that may not be good on the wallet. While perusing it all, there was one little thing that really caught my eye. A puzzle. I took a picture of it. Lets take a closer look at that I found the "TD" in another item. It was in a sticker book (along with a flame throwing new order TK)
  2. Same. Firefox, Safari and IE.
  3. I had trouble today. My user name (as it was spelled) does not exist anymore. I was able to log in with my email though. I don't know how the change affected it - but it now says "Fräulein" instead of "Fräulein"
  4. I have used Dylon Multipurpose on some costumes. It works on nylon and lycra. I haven't used black. But I have used the deep blackish blue that they have. I have also used a black fine point sharpie on other projects, where I needed the fabric to remain the same color, but the stitching to be black.
  5. I have been looking through the forums - as far back as 2012. I have found a few threads, but the images are long gone or no longer available. I suspended the thighs on my counterfeit TK armor with a hockey garter. I have seen that some individuals attach the thighs to the abs via webbing. Some have said they use a strapping system in some other way, the image and the links are no longer available. So I don't know what that system is. I would like to know, and if pics are available, what is your preferred method of keeping thighs up? Thanks
  6. Sorry to bump. Is there a rear image of the TD but minus the backpack? I seem to recall one - but cannot find it. Unless I'm thinking of the CRL on a TK.
  7. ^What they said - build thread. Take it from someone who has spent about two years on and off building their armor - stop and breathe. Don't try to rush it. Everything is fixable.
  8. ^This. There was an incident recently where a person went to Reddit to cry for help and had probably hoped for some sort of "army" to mobilize. Individuals investigated the claim further and discovered the "stolen" design was not entirely original. In this case - it is obvious the intellectual property is being used without permission of the artist. But the artist has to be the one to handle it. Having people post negative reviews may not look good for the artist and could be seen as bullying.
  9. This link should help. But only he can submit it because he is the artist. https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/reports/infringement He can probably issue a DCMA to Amazon as well.
  10. Just chiming in here - Wolfman has a faucet cover. I found it at our local tip, I gave it to him. I think he may have plans to replicate it.
  11. I had always thought that there were four squads.. Three were the local PD. The fourth squad at the escape pod, I always felt that they were perhaps from the destroyer. The local PD ones acted more like police. I figured from the size of Mos Eisley (the at a distance shot in the original) that there would probably be more than a few squads.
  12. BUMP - Was having this discussion with my coworker. And because I drive a school bus and he is my "loadmaster", we discussed it on and off for four hours. A little background on coworker - old guy, served in Vietnam and is retired pilot. He has the experience of the military to back up his theories. "If Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise. Why cant they shoot a dang thing through the rest of the movie?" Answer - because Sandies are more specialized for the environs they are in. Just like how the military has more specialized groups. You can be in the more specialized group - but you have to be proficient at being "regular army" to move on up. Unless you subscribe to the "Boba Fett did it" theory.
  13. If you used E6000 glue - you shouldn't need a heat gun to remove it. Start small with a razor knife or one of those fat exacto knives. Work that into a small spot and rock it back and forth. Don't force it. Eventually you should get enough space that you can get a larger razor in there and just work it slowly. Using a heat gun might be more trouble.
  14. I am having a similar problem with one thigh. I disassembled the entire thing this morning. When you put them on - do they get up over the knee and then end up trying to yank it up and attempt to stuff the remainder of the thigh into it? It kind of ends up looking like an overstuffed ice cream cone? Like the top of the thighs don't meet up with the crotch? Resulting in a really big gap of black fabric?
  15. My friend Neil, the Maori Stormtrooper. https://youtu.be/DtuZvBYoAus My friend TK Pickles - made this
  16. I don't have their ebay shop - but this is a link to their regular store. http://www.doopydoos.com/star-wars-props-and-replicas-31-c.asp
  17. So a little confusion arose today. Before I set glue to plastic, which is proper? I ask because I looked to images of already approved troops and discovered it as 50/50. Some have it one way, some have it the other way. Ignore my manly hands.
  18. Oh hai. I realized today, while trying to log in to the Dewback Ridge forums, that I never stopped and said hello, here. So I started with a set of TK armor that was nearly complete. When it came time to work on finer details and issues with the armor sitting right on my short frame - it was discovered that it may have been cast from different versions of other peoples armors. Long story short - it wasn't a problem because it didn't cost much and it made a few special need students the envy of the regular ed students. Plus - I have a really great use for it once I complete the new TD armor. So Wolfman TD8966 said that our garrison needed more TD's, and it being New Mexico I thought it was more appropriate that I go with a TD. The bucket is partially done. Wolfman/Tye has been great in helping out. I hope to have the armor complete and approved by the time the International Balloon Fiesta rolls around in October.
