  1. mine is under, which im pretty sure is the way to do it. and yes, its acceptable. be sure to double check the "Requirements" section at the very top of this site. any questions, dont hesitate to ask!
  2. I used leather. dyed it white and riveted it in place. 2 per end.
  3. pretty cool parade. literally. When we left Flag AFTER the parade it was 74 outside with a nice breeze. Got back to Phoenix and it was 104 degrees, and NO breeze. here's the link to the photobucket with lots of pics, but here are a few from the parade. this parade has 50% of the town in it and 50% watching. numbers average at about 10,000 along the ~1.6 mile parade route. DSG in Flagstaff Parade oh, than we saw this on the way home.
  4. humidity (whats that????) has a lot to do how paint drys. if you're in an environment that has lots of humidity, it will take longer for the paint to completely dry on the surface. same strap system, try to glue the sections that are currently velcroed though. but that's a personal choice. doesn't really matter. can use anything on the inside of helmet, hard hat liner, foam, football helmet padding, baseball helmet padding, duct tape, etc. you can get small pc fans at Radio shack, or ebay, or local electronics store. the boots are normally the same. however you can get away with similar boots as long as they meet whats listed in the requirements section at the top of this site. You can get the CABBOOTS versions, which at the moment are the best and most accurate, and replace the soles with Vibram Soles, which has a more aggressive tread pattern, and a bit more sand-trooperish.
  5. mine are all black.... "move along"
  6. the shoulder straps are an easy mod and takes about 5 minutes. get some leather or thick white nylon webbing, or paint some, and dye or paint the leather and rivet in place, or snaps or velcro. and BAM....done.
  7. thanks Zac, cant wait for the rest that he has planned
  8. if im not mistaken, you don't need a backpack any longer. I would suggest a TE2, ANH2, or similar helmet. cant see your ab plate... can you take a closer picture?
  9. heres an idea i had messing around....

  12. IF you're disciplined on the garrison level, not sure if that carries over to here... keep us updated. Feel free to email or PM the command staff separately if you don't want it to be public and all.
  13. here's another one... he certainly used less flashy things this time, and my binocs look cool!
  14. painted a bit today... as much as i liked it white...here's the first incarnation. i left the tape on the lenses in case i will change the color...
  15. A few of you know that i used to have this sniper rifle for this Mando, pictured here in 2003, and 2004. well, it broke sometime in late 04 i think and never really fixed it. well tonight on a whim, while others were building TK's and force pikes, i slapped this together, and I'm quite happy with the result. What do you think? im thinking of painting the handle a faux wood and the upper receiver maybe a dark grey, or green.... thoughts?
