    MEPD Guidon

started on a new Infantry blue.... will get the cross rifles cut at work tomorrow. only have black at the moment.
  2. i actually USE backpack straps. its from a backpack.
  3. not sure about the section. might be more of a FISD question. however it is easier to walk etc. that said i still know LOTS of td's with the plate not separated. it does help eliminate the "cod lift" which happens if you seperate it and dont use a strap between the cod and butt plate.
  4. the general public did not. i never wear the thing, as its ungodly un bearable in the az heat. i do wear it for parades and such...sometimes.
  5. i forget how i woke up that day. i think the phone rang right before 9am. forget who it was. my mom i think. I tried to call my GF (Erica) at the time. don't know if i got thru. I know i was moving into the new house in a few days, and my buddy who lived in the city Ollie P called or I called him. we watched as plane two hit, and than WTC2 fell. we actually said no words. just had each other on the phone. He than said, I know lots of people who work there. j we silently hung up once the 1st tower collapsed. I got a phone call from the military verifying my whereabouts. I walked to my friends house (billy). there was none driving in the roads. we watched on his TV as more people started coming over. we all talked about driving into the city with a friend of ours brother who was an EMT at the time. (matt zukoski). I had to go to work at the video store. i called the boss and told him im closing as its crazy to stay open. 5 hours later without knowing what happened I walked back to billys house. no words. billy joel helped soothe the pain... we will never forget ***locations*** home - southampton NY (about 65 miles out) mom - southampton, NY (about 65miles out) sister - central manhattan a few blocks north. she had to walk back to brooklyn. took her and millions of others over 8 hours to walk uptown from downtown and across the bridge and back south into Brooklyn from queens. She picked up papers from the site in her yard for weeks that were blown there from the impact or the collapse. dad - Danbury, CY about an hour and change, but worked in the city from time to time. Later found out he missed his train to go in that morning.
  6. can you take a pic or scan the article?
  7. well..... you gonna post up a picture?
  8. your best bet is to attend an event in central cali. such as an armor party, parade, etc. start heloing out and shoing up at stuff. its easier for people to get you stuff if they know you personally and not just some dude on the internet.
  9. and if you're willing to get just the basic kit your local unit can drum up some armor for about 400 or so with helmet. id ditch the fx helmet and go with a te2 or MRCE instead, each runs about 100 bucks or so, give or take. start there and work up to deployed over some time. its "funner" that way.
  10. im not the pack expert, but i think the pack is "off" also Rick can you post pics of your hand plates? also note your weathering has gotten pretty awesome! can you post a pic of your pauldron? i like what youve done. want a closer look!
  11. top man! looks pretty good to me. Personally, i might add a bit more weathering to the shoulder and chest area, but thats just me. rock on!
  12. wishes LFL had sets like that for us in the USA... awesome pics as well!
  13. agree. however leather (which is what i use) has never given me issues. Snaps have always failed me, so i stay away
  14. well, no. there have been a few others. some rotocast some vac formed. the most recent one, or high quality were the imperial commando ones.
  15. dumb question, but is this a "custom" job? ie: non cannon? its pretty cool. the vac form detail on the face is outstanding.
  16. can u update your profile page with full name and garrison and ID number?
  17. i am curious to the logistics on this. would love to get something like this going in my area. we have a few awesome kart tracks and would be cool to set something like this up. 1. what does each person need to raise to race 2. where does the money go? (ie. charities, staff, etc) 3. how many people are necessary for just ONE team? the tracks here i think have up to 25 at one time on the track.
  18. this isnt that popular. ive got vids with way more views than that. urban legend. also not sure on the "rules" as i cant find any, but beware talking about Politics or Religion.
  19. al's stuff rocks. as well as his samurai. can you get him to post here his techniques?
  20. the guy on the Left is AL from Italy. The other guy is from Austria. the Italian had the awesomeness
  21. it looks a bit photo-chopped, as in the model is clearly not wearing the armor parts. either way the armor is fantastic. not one for that bikini or boob plates but the colors and model are nice
  22. don't know about that. can provide pics of said troopers if necessary.
