  5. I have Police Officer status and live in Illinois. I can head up the Midwest Garrison area. I have built my armor by myself and own a quartermaster backpack. I know the differences between TD/TK. I have knowledge about armor build, backpacks, guns, pouches, etc. I have also built: A Biker Scout, ARF trooper in camo, and Sith Lord. I have been in the legion since 2011.

  11. I have the same armor.. Good stuff... easy to build once you get it going
  12. Hair spray works pretty good. The problem comes into play when water gets on it. So you have to seal it with instant drying lacquer. It makes it water resistant and dries clear.I picked a can up from ACe hardware for like 6 bucks. ACE brand...
  13. yeah pretty sweet location... I have a question about the side gaps being larger than a half a inch? I tried to keep mine small being I am 6' 220lbs and it was not easy.. What is the real limit requirments for armor when it comes to side gaps?
  14. Thanks everyone who commented.. It is great to have support when you need it. Indeed it is a great pack thanks again quartermaster for letting that one go...lol.. I spent alot of time building something that means alot to me ever since I was a kid, so I hope at some point to become an officer and get deployed. I do have one question about weathering. Since the earth powder went on using hairspray, what happens when it rains? Is there something to use to seal the weathering from moisture. I am also having an issue with the armor rubbing some weathering off where parts meet up. The weathering does seem to scratch off when the plastic rubs. Thanks for all that support, Sarge TD 6074

  20. man this thing has got me goin crazy.. I tried snaps...they came off.. I tried velcro.. same thing... Does anyone have any ideas that can hold the thighs on good?
  21. Just wondering if anyone has pics of how they shimd the sides of the ab plate where the rivets meet the back plate
  22. I would go with ATA armor.. It comes with all the parts.. THe add ons are a different story...Like;gloves, backpacks, pouches, guns. etc...Those take time tracking down suppliers and most of the time there is a waiting list.. As far as helmets I would check out trooperbay you can email him. he makes a pretty good lid to take the pressure off ya with getting it right. make sure you ask him which lid you want TD or TK...
