  1. Kits would be rather popular. There's at least 4 TDs in our garrison who'd be interested. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Terrible news. :/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. TB/DZ/TD-3279 requesting all the access I'm entitled to. Many thanks. http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=12111
  4. Looking awesome so far. Love those E-11's too.
  5. We had this issue with a file sharing site my work uses. Somehow the site got on Google's blacklist. I get the error trying to get into MEPD.net as well.
  6. I know it's nearly a year later, but I did finish my TD. I'm on the right!
  7. Bah all the pics are dead. This is the one thing I was looking up today
  8. The referenced thread seems to be wiped out.
  9. Forgot to mention this (because I've been scrambling to finish my TD, but it won't be done for this Saturday's event...) but my T-21 is as done as it's getting for now. It has the correct sling mount thanks to a garrison member who does WWII reenactments. My pack is almost done too. Waiting on the black ABS pipe for the mortar tube from a friend.
  10. Only things left on this kit are: - Making the canvas shoulder straps (lost the ones I got from Trooperbay a couple years back) - fixing/finishing the belt - painting the chin on the helmet - straps for the thighs/ redo the arm straps - WEATHER EVERYTHING. Oh and the pack needs the mortar tube pipe, but a friend says he has it. The one I have is too short by about 6". That's how it arrived...
  11. I'll second what Strider says -- just add a little black to make it look like you painted white over black boots.
  12. Brought them in roughly 2 1/2 inches. Wow, what a difference! They're currently glued and clamped, and I'll get a pic up after they're done. Here's a pic after I resized them (held with painter's tape at the new correct size)
  13. Thanks! I think that's what I'll do. Just cut the back apart and reattach. I have a deadline of July 10th -- no later! Hopefully I can hammer it out.
  14. I have been trying to get an RT-Mod TK kit into a decent TD, but this part is bugging me: You can see that my right thigh, at the knee, is about 1.5" wider than my actual leg. If I walk with them suspended it'll swing back and forth like a church bell. How should I fix it? Rip apart both the front and back, cut and reattach? If I were to rip apart just the back seam and resize it to fix my leg, would that look strange?
  15. Really don't mean to drag up an old thread, but I figure you'd like to see this: I have a program I use at work to measure technical drawings. I can load images into it as well. What you do is calibrate the measuring tool by choosing two "known" points, then all measurements can be made at that same scale. I loaded in the image of the backpack, and figured the radio dial face was 2" (based on the decal from Trooperbay). Based on that, the radar dish/tupperware lid is 3 3/4". Safe to say the 4" lid is correct.
  16. Just bought one for my own pack! I've been looking at every garage sale near me for 3 weeks straight. It's the last thing I need to put together for my pack - the mortar tube!
  17. Update: I've located my Half Life 2 Combine voice pack, but haven't figured out a good place to upload them.
  18. I'm looking for those too. Seems Trooperbay has a set of 7 (all you need) for $6.
  19. Speed rivets, aka pop rivets or blind rivets: Here's what the tool looks like: To use them:
  20. According to the build instructions, you center a 1/2" wooden dowel through the entire thing. Check out Step 11: http://www.foxflier.com/lewis/FullLewisAssy.pdf
  21. http://www.foxflier.com/lewis/ Came across this in the FISD, wondered if you all had seen it. I'm not all too sure on it's durability, to be honest.
  22. Link to make it easy. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/15272-high-detail-hwt-screens/ I agree - this pack is just an inspired piece. I know I've seen it somewhere before but can't put my finger on it. That box with the cross pattern on it (where the Sonix radio should go) looks really familiar. I want to say some online costume seller like CostumeBase was offering it.
  23. I figured it'd be easy to make that notch/groove. Suppose I'll do it
