  1. "When you wish upon a Death Star" I know, wrong movie. How about "Pink Sith Lords on Parade"?
  2. Here is the list of armor makers from FISD: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/ Not all make TD specific armor parts. Size matters of course. Some can fit into armor molded from screen used suits. Others need to find "fan sculpt" armor to fit a taller or wider trooper. The cost of the armor is one thing. All the million other accessories required add up too. I personally recommend ATA (affordable trooper armor), TM (in the UK), RS Props (UK), T/MC, or AP (if you're a smaller dude). TE2 no longer makes armor. Good luck! -Eric
  3. Every day...I log in... see this thread with new posts and get fooled into thinking there might be some photos of... anything. Everyone?! Stop ordering packs from this man. He has some armor to build before the holiday season kicks in. Ok? -Eric
  4. Yep. I've been in contact with Paul. They're pricey and so is shipping but probably worth it. However I may need to lose a few more pounds the middle before I can fit into TM or ATA even if I had his longer shins. I did ask him to measure the TM XL shins and they were quite a bit longer than the RT ones. I can't find the PM with the length tho. Aloha, -Eric
  5. Sheldon: FYI I sent you a new shipping address via email Aloha -Eric
  6. Weird dude. For TK it doesn't matter if cod/ab are two pieces even for Centurion much less base 501st approval. I wasn't aware of it being any different for TD. There is no specific mention of it in the CRL. And you are absolutely right about RT. Rob just emailed and said he's swamped with orders and isn't taking any new ones. That may be a bummer for me as I've been saving my pennies for an RT-TD this winter. It ain't always easy being tall. Aloha, -Eric
  7. Jay, As far as I know he is taking orders. Rob travels for work and often takes a long time to fulfill and order, but no longer than most. I agree that buying untrimmed and doing cover strips is the way to go. That is my intent for my RT TD planned for next year, but it is possible to put cover strips of the trimmed kit. There is enough material to do so. For some reason RT-MOD has a seperate cod and ab. I've toyed with fusing mine together but the belt covers the seam nicely so it hasn't been a priority. Aloha, -Eric
  8. Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with RT-MOD armor in any way. I am only a very tall and very happy customer. Most of you who know me from the FISD forums know that I rock the RT-MOD TK action. Right now it is the most accurate fan sculpt (as opposed to something that was once recasted from screen used armor meant for tiny english dudes about 5'10") that fits the taller and somewhat larger trooper. After seeing both AM and RT-MOD in person I think RT-MOD is more appropriate for the taller and less girthy trooper. AM is well suited for the wider trooper and, as of right now, less accurate looking. Rob of RT-MOD is now offering a TD version of it TK for us tall guys. He has a TD sniper knee and ab plate that looks pretty good. I am likely buying this kit early in Q1 2013. Here is a photo of the sniper knee Rob sent me recently: And the ab plate: I am 6'5" and when I had a 40" paint waist I think that was the maximim that would fit without shimming the ab/kidney gaps. The RT ab is longer and so are the shins. His armor does typically come trimmed and uses the overlap method of construction. It is possible to get the kit untrimmed. It would also be very easy to trim the overlaps and add cover strips to the pre-trimmed version. These are the max circumference of various parts for his armor: Thigh - 27" Calve - 17" Bicep - 16.5" Forearm - 13.5" Abdomen - 42" Here are some photos of me in my shiny TK... forever taller than Vader. Aloha, -Eric
  9. This one cracks me up every time I see it: http://vadercoaster.ytmnd.com/ -Eric
  10. Look to the FISD: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=7806 Aloha, -Eric
  11. Brothers don't let brother's post drunk... unless of course they're showing off their fancy MEPD glassware. -Eric
  12. From Facebook... "Star Wars Archive" posted this tonight. It really shows just how puffy the pauldrons were.
  13. Snoogans. This. Is. The. Best. Thing. I've. Seen. In. A. Long. Time. What a wookiee! (I sure wish I had thought of this)
  14. I say no screen... Not to be more screen accurate but so people see you smiling like a helmeted dope for photos instinctively during your first couple troops.
  15. I never thought I would be saying this to anyone in public... But you're a dirty tease.
  16. Hey Anthony, Here are a couple links that might help.... The Stunt Eye reference gallery: http://www.whitearmor.net/fisd/Tikipedia:ANH-Stunt:Eyes:ReferenceGallery Pandatrooper's ATA helmet build: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=14806 Some folks use a dremel with a sanding wheel. I prefer curved lexan scissors because one false move with a dremel and you're screwed. I've also used a fresh exacto knife to shave abs. Good luck bro! Aloha, -Eric
  17. All, I just updated the taptalk software for MEPD. Please let me know if you have issues with it. Aloha, -Eric
  18. Heh. Cool. This saves me the step of taking pics and showing my pack off LOL. I probably won't be able to get back to New London again sadly. Here's a crappy phone camera shot of the XO himself and my pack: Thanks again Rick Aloha, -Eric
  19. For those of you also on FISD know that I'm a tall dude who sports RT-MOD. It is a fan sculpted suit. This means that it cannot trace its lineage back to something once casted from screen uses armor. At 6'5" 230 RT is the only choice for me. I could have gone AM (what is now FX) but the chest and legs aren't as accurate. AM is better for the more stout of troopers and if you're just tall, AM will be a ton of work to trim it to fit. A bunch of folks who are tall but skinny (including FISD founder and former DL Daetrin) wear something more accurate and just use RT-MOD's shins to reduce large swaths of black space in the legs. Rob of RT (a super nice guy) is now making a TD ab and sniper knee. It's the suit I'll be going TD with this winter. I can't wait to see it. Aloha, -Eric
  20. Allow me to selfishly be the first one to utilize this new thread. I got this pouch off of ebay. Two questions: Does the tool pouch need to be moved? Is the material ok for SWAT? It seems like the canvas is a bit more rough than others. I have my rattle can ready to go Aloha and thanks, -Eric
  21. All, It seems that there are many threads with folks posting "is this pouch acceptable?" I think if we all posted our pouches here it might be easier to find photos of good and less than good pouches all in one place. Please feel free to use this thread to post photos of your newly acquired pouches so helpful MEPD members may review and commend. Aloha, -Eric
