  1. Hi What is the origin of these kits? Is this from the same source as the current FX seller? Joe
  2. I admire your dedication bud. Exactly what I was thinking. On another matter a little tip I have used is when you have finished painting is to rub a piece of newspaper all over the helmet, it adds a nice natural dirty, worn look. That along with black pastal scuff marks helps a lot. You can also highlight/shadow the detail areas with black pastal which makes the helmet look sharper in detail. I think you have done it anyway but a nice creamy colour as opposed to white works really well if you are going for the 30 year old look. Keep up the good work. Joe
  3. Looks great buddy, amazing work. I would trim the ears a bit though, they look too chunky. Joe
  4. Great work bro. I say Brian R, there are loads of TD's about but hardly any Brian R's. Joe

You poor yanks! I can order and ship if anyone wants anything.... Joe
  6. TE2! Easier to come by and cheaper. Joe
  7. I just snagged this one on the RPF, been after a TE ESB for ages. Who needs savings anyway I have never actually trooped in a suit, can't wait. Joe
  8. Congrats Mike Sounds like you have lots of great ideas and bundles of enthusiasm. Here's some fart jokes for you: BTW keep an eye out this year, there may be a new SE Sandtrooper Helmet replica making an appearance
  9. Looks great Mika. If you want a really screen used look try rubbing it all over with a newspaper, it really gives it a nice dirty used look. Joe
  10. Amazing work Roger. You've inspired me to do another weathered helmet. Joe
  11. Mike I admire your stance Mike. We are all 'in the wrong' so to speak, there must be one rule for everyone. No-one but GL/LFL has the 'right' to go after recasters. Chris was also upfront with TE and didn't try to hide anything. I agree with this refreshing decision. Joe
  12. Hi fellas I was let down by my vacuum former guy, I'm looking for an alternative. It will go ahead just no idea when! FYI the helmet is fine. Cheers Joe
  13. Cool pics, but I don't trust a word that comes out of AA's mouth. Thanks for sharing. Joe
  14. Update: All the moulds are now done. Vac forming should go ahead in the next 14 days. I will post details in the next few weeks once we have a firm price... Joe
  15. Hi fellas Still waiting on my guy to get back from his work trip. As soon as I have more info I will post here. We have decided on the thinnest ABS we can get away with so that as little detail as possible will be lost. The casts are very sharp, the maker has years of industry experience. Sorry for the delay. Joe
  16. It looks good but the white looks too clean underneath IMO. It looks like a brand new helmet that has been covered in muck. I think you need to age the plastic a little more, try braks tutorial it is great. Joe
  17. Update: The moulds are being taken this week, so all being well we could be good to go by the end of the month. Any suggestions as to the type of plastic etc? Would people prefer a plastic that doesn't need painting or styrene that does need painting like TE's old run of these. Joe
  18. Thanks again for the kind comments fellas. I am hoping to do a run of these and offer theme assembled or in kit form. More info to follow soon. Joe
  19. It came from the set direct to its owner who kept it from 1982 until 2007 the kindly passed it on to me. I am going to de-furbish it so it is in as original state as possible. Joe
  20. Thanks for the kind words fellas. I am thrilled to have found this. Joe
  21. Thanks guys I am really excited about this! Still just gaze at it in awe. I can't share these sorry buddy. The interior is used to verify the originality of helmets so it has to remain a secret to protect against fakes. I still wish it was a Sandy!LOL Joe
