  1. Welcome man! Once you have your deployment you can close the blast[er] doors.
  2. Very nice looking stuff man! It's stuff like this that makes us (the MEPD) such a great detachment!
  3. Thanks! And yeah, I don't "believe" people saying official... but they have 20K followers and I figured, "Hey, $35 to a good cause to get featured is a fine deal." Had they left it at that I wouldn't have suspected them scamming people. BUT... then when they "switched the rules" and told me that it was only gonna be up a week unless I "donated" more... well, I was like, SCAM!!! What's funny is my photo they shared (and removed) had the most likes of ANY of their photos!!!
  4. So I wanted to post this as a "warning" to you all here. There is an account on Instagram who is soliciting "donations" for ALS through the email "alsforcefund@gmail.com" The Instagram account is: http://instagram.com/episode_vii They're going about it by claiming to be an "official" Star Wars account asking people submit photos for them to share. Once you submit a photo they ask you to donate $35 to the ALS fund to get it posted. After you submit payment they message you the day before they're going to share your photo and tell you to donate another $215 to keep the photo on their account indefinitely. I happily donated the $35 — and probably would've done more — but it was this "bait and switch" that made me rethink. The domain name registered under their Gmail and PayPal realaudience.net which comes up as private under "who is" information. My HOPE is that they are really donating the money and they are really related to Lucas. But they have yet to reply to any of my questions after the fact so I wanted to email you all in case. I don't mean to cause problems but, like I said, I felt it was the right thing to do in case people are getting scammed. I've done all I can in regards to reporting them... I would suggest just be wary of anyone asking for money to share photos.
  5. I'm not AWOL... and yes, I still do them.
  6. That is, indeed, looking very good!!!
  7. I used to have a speaker in my pack — inside my radio — that played the MP3 loop. But no one ever could hear it so I moved it back to my front/chest speaker.
  8. Okay... I'll quit this now. But I'm up +3 from when I read this thread!
  9. I guess that means I'd better get posting.
  10. Here are a few of my assembled bucket...
  11. And here's one of me with my new beautiful girl — made by Wolfman
  12. Well, it has begun. I've got armor in hand and am building away. Bucket is already assembled. Before you ask... yes, I'm going for SWAT with this. That's the plan. Since I've already been deployed as an Officer you can forego telling me all the things I'll "have to do first" to get Officer status. This is my second set of ATA armor but really it's like it's my first because my other set was sold before I did anything to it... and I must say, WOW! I can't believe the quality of plastic and the sharpness of the pulls. It's just insanely good! So... here are pics — these are probably especially good for you all who wonder what the ATA armor pieces look like.
  13. This is a BEAUTIFUL helmet! Those bumps are what it's all about man! Don't dis the bumps! Have you trimmed it yet? If not, I'll post some pics of your pics with marks where to trim. YAY!
  14. Not to mention this... http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=4255#entry170300
  15. In my humble yet educated opinion CA Boots aren't any good... plus they kinda smell funny.
  16. Yep! Here ya go... And here's the link to my whole thread about this... http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=13258
  17. I got a pair of those and sent them back because they were a bit big... then found a set online in the UK that were better. You have to get someone in the UK to get them and ship them to you. But yes... those would work.
  18. I just wanted to say I am not on Facebook and I think less of everyone here who is. That is all. *hahahaha* ( just kidding... I love you all... dirty facebookers...)
  19. WHOA! Sorry to hear you're stepping down Juan — but man, I know how it goes! And congrats on the new position! Congrats to you too Scribbler!! One more congrats to Smally! Great news all around! *did I miss anyone* You're right, Scribbler's shoes are gonna be hard to fill — especially since boots are the hardest thing to find right now — but I'm confident whoever is chosen will do a great job. AND they have a great command staff behind them for support!
