SAND DEVIL
Ok, so here goes nothing. I started and almost finished my Doopy Doos Resin E-11. I purchased a pipe kit and then found out that 40mm does not translate in the US at Home Depot and they are even less understanding. The dork clerk kept asking me if I was building some prop for a porn movie, only in America..... Anyway, back to REALITY, I used the pining style in the forums and made sure every part has a separate pin before being glued with plastic epoxy and then used bondo to make it looked welded. I hope I don't get a drug screen at work, because that stuff will rock your boat (bondo). I cut out the front sight and did a lot of work with a Dremel. It was an easy build, with the help of great MEPD brothers like yourselves. The kit actually doesn't come with instructions. I painted it the flat black with Krylon Paint, after sanding and washing (Quartermaster style to be sure). I then weathered it with silver and my 15 year old son was nice enough to be honest and inform me that it was WAY TOO WEATHERED, and would never get passed Juan for SWAT. So I washed that off, and ended up with what you see here. It actually made it look weathered by washing the silver off. I need to do the highlights (high areas, like the clip, etc) with more weathering, but decided I would do some additional research before making that mistake again. Taking it off is much harder. So here is my first build and also going to post my first pack build also. Thank you so much for everyones advise. I am VERY interested in ideas to get the E-11 right and can handle the criticism. Bring it on baby, Vader didn't make no babies, um, well, I guess he did, but you know what I mean....Thanks for looking.

SAND DEVIL
So re-did the weathering after my son hated on it so much, looks much better, he was right. It is DONE. And the counter & cylinders come off easy. So after 501st and MEPD deployed, I can just remove for SWAT (Move Along Captain). Thanks for looking. -Ben

SAND DEVIL
Steve, Priceless? Wow: one E-11 spring assistance, one extra email to explain, and one kudos via drunk typing....PRICELESS. No, No brother, you are the man. Thank you for the thoughts, but seriously.
