Quebectrooper
Got this siphon really cheap from ebay UK, cut the square box, removed the oval dome on top of the tubes to make it angled: Glued a piece of plastic between the tubes, the red part is a lamp base, the bowl is a dvd container: added zip ties, fiberglassed the dome to the bowl and to the siphon(everything is solidified with screws and e6000 glue). Painted flat black but the shiny stuff is brown paint wich i tried to weather it with but i don't like it.:

Rolf
Very nice siphon bro, i like it. Super work Do you have a finish pack to add it on, or still a long way to go, before you have all the parts ready. Move a long... move a long Remember to add the black velcron on the big side round head:

iconoclasta_88
Velcro on the syphon????????? I have never noticed that, either on references or on your build. I just added two plastic rectangles to mine and thought that was fine. But now, I think that I might be wrong... Do you have more references bro? Here is my syphon as it is today. Quebectrooper
Are you guys sure there was those square tapes on all siphon domes cause i don't see them on all siphons. I'm building the pack with the hose.
iconoclasta_88
i don't see anything Just trying to show the 2 rectangular details (supposed to be tape) and the nipply thing in the middel. As in my build... I do think that if Rolf added velcro, it must really be taken in consideration. Just would like a reference shot. Rolf
Check this out: What do you think???? Saludos You got it bro, left right a piece item add, the one in the middle are just the plastic design dot on the siphon. I´m not sure its black velcro add on, but i use it. You know the one whit the hair on, not the hooks. I use the velcro, whit out glue on, and just glue it on my self. Again i´m not sure it was black velcro, i just think i saw Mike Harrison/TD-1536 do it like that as well, so i follow. Heres a few pics, not sure you can see any thing on them. But this is what i got for now. Would be cool if we could find out 100% what was add on the siphon. But i do not think i was just black tape, because its too flat a like vs, what we see in ANH i guess.
iconoclasta_88
Yeah! I dont think it was just black electricians tape cause it would be too flat. Thats why I added the plastic rectangles. Now, velcro... that is interesting. Wonder if Mike had another reference or deeper knowledge. Maybe we could contact him. I haven't seen online in a long time, but we could send him a mail. Could you do it Rolf, or I can do it. Saludos.
DarthChridan
Sry guys...i see, that objects are to flat for velcro(it's also somewhat "blurry"). I think it's rather plastic "parts", that i used as well....and the ****, i do not remove the stuff again Cheers and good night bros
iconoclasta_88
Sorry for temporary derailing your thread Pat. So... Very cool Syphon you've got there. It is looking really good! How did you attached the mushroom cup and canister to it? Im interested cause I am in that exact stage with my build at the moment. Saludos. Look at my photos you'll see the long screw going all the way down its where i slid the cup then glued the cap of the canister to the canister and a nut holds everything in place. Simple. iconoclasta_88
Well... I am not sure those rectangles were in all syphons, but my guess is that they were there to cover holes or something. I mean, what if the original syphons had some sort of detail or whatever there, and they cut them off, then covered the holes with tape or plastic or whatever... Seems possible... but just a theory. If two or three had them, I don't see why the others wouldn't. Truth is, I have no idea if the pack you are building has them. sorry.
