Airborne Sandtrooper!

It had been a dream/goal of mine for several years to skydive.

Just the idea of free falling to the earth and the adrenaline rush was too attractive to me. But also, lots of fear and sometimes even terror prevented me to do it.

But last may (on my bday), Carla my gf gave me a skydive certificate to finally jump whenever I wanted. So, this last weekend was the day. Man! Was I excited!!!

After a brief explanation and a lot of mind power over instinct, I jumped on the plane with the instructor and a chute on the back. The small plain could only fit 6 ppl, had no door nor any handle or seats. Just like a box with wings. So every second the plane gained altitude, I was able to see the ground going down and down and down.

I was really nervous, but I decided my mind would be stronger than my survival instincts! So when the instructor said: Juan, its your turn!! I just faced the emptyness and... jumped!

What an awesome feeling... flying!!!

And what an amazing adrenaline rush!!!!!!

It was amazing. 40 seconds of free fall from 9000 ft to 5000 ft, and then, the chute opened!

And another 5 mins to the ground!

This is something really worth doing, if you are that king of person.

I might do it sometime again, but as today, at least I can say I DID IT!!!

:D:D:D:D

Here a couple picts:

Man, I'm happy for ya, it's not something I want to do... not because I'm afraid of heights or anything, just no interest in skydiving I guess. Or deep sea diving. Dumpster diving, however, sounds sort of fun. :P

That's totally awesome you got to do this!

I think everyone should get to live all their dreams; whether it's dressing in plastic, jumping from an airplane, or both!

Salute brother! :salute:

Chingon!!

Nice ! I love it!

Now do it in armor.

A huevo!!

JEJEJE!

It came to my mind to do it on armor, at least with the bucket. But then, I was already on the plane.

hehehe!

Hahaha too cool bro...

Personal i would never cast my self out of a perfect good airplane.

But i guess its also because i´m not ok whit hanging in the sky, a little too long down for my taste to be honest.

But again, it might be a good kick off to a new thing in my life after my divorce.

I have been thinking of begin to do diving, but in the sea..

Any way, too cool bro.

And a big respect for you did it, i´m not sure i will ever try it :D

Very, very cool Juan...good for you! I have always been kind of an adrenaline junkie ever since I was little building ramps to jump by bicycle over stuff. Raced motocross for about 5 years too. Used to fly a lot, until we lost an engine (literally lost it, as in blew up, on fire, emergency landing, head between your legs and your going down lost it!) and now I don't fly anymore. Guess skydiving will have to wait for me.

I'd rather be a lowly foot soldier.

Pics are awesome bro! Congrats!

really cool Juan!

I know what you've felt before, during and after.

is simply amazing, that I also tested last year.

a lot of adrenaline and a feeling of speed and fall that are indescribable.

In any case, congratulations for exceeding your fear, and therefore you will have a lasting memory for the rest of your life, just like me elsewhere :D

here my pictures.

LOL!!!

Yes, jumping from a plane in full TD armor would be awesome...

Not very intelligent, but awesome!!

When I was there, I thought I should have brought my bucket for the pictures... ****!

I did wear my TE2 shirt.

Next time, maybe. ;)

And Jerome, those are awesome picts!

I will try and upload more picts on the weekend.

Thx everyone for their comments.

not intelligent sure lol, but also really dangerous i think.

it probably must need to have a "light armor" doing on measure for this just for this.

but yes it will be seriously a real challenge!!

I will pass my turn...lol
