CMANavy
What is the best way to secure the chestplate? I am having an occasional slip of the abplate over the chest and some minor gapping creating an unsightly black gap. What's the best way to stop this? Here is what I have thought up, just want to get some feedback on the ideas. 1. Black elastic on the side of the chest back, making it more snug. 2. Attaching either elastic or webbing that goes from the abs up to the chest keeping it in place. 100th Post!!!!!
SethB6025
I think Mike1536 did this to his TE.
Daetrin
1. Black elastic on the side of the chest back, making it more snug I did this to my kit, and it's helped in this department.
TD-1536
I think Mike1536 did this to his TE. Yeap, I attached an elastic strap via snaps on the front chest plate to keep it pulled down, since I'm tall... 6'1.
troopermaster
On the movie suit's they had a strap fixed to side of the chest plate and down to the ab plate. This helped keep the chest from riding up and behind the ab plate. There was also straps fixed to the bottom lip and to the top edge of the ab plate so the chest wouldn't drop too far down. You can see examples of this way of strapping when the chest buckles and flexes in certain scenes. CMANavy
Thanks guys, I will make this mod this week and give it a test run this weekend for a parade.
CMANavy
Fixed it! Here is what I did, I just put in a strap that velcroed to the chestplate and it worked perfectly. We had a parade last night and my chest plate stayed exactly were I need it to.
