FIVE
Anyone ever use anything like this for their pack straps? Would the be ridiculous? (asks the DL)
pandatrooper
I think they'd be pretty comfy, but the only thing I'd be concerned about is how bulky it might be under the chest armor.
iconoclasta_88
I use something like those that I removed from a school backpack. Other than the clips on the back, they are pretty much the same. They are kind of bulky at the shoulders but might be because of my strapping system. But once in place they dont show much and are super comfortable... I guess it is a matter of how you fix them to your pack and how your armor is strapped. The mid-chest belt is fantastic for keeping the pack and straps in place. Daetrin
I've used two different pack strap solutions and alas the more padded the straps the bulkier and visible they seem to be. Ideally I'd think you'd use a regular strap and just sew some padding underneath. Either way it seems regardless of strapping/padding, after a few hours you just become sore anyway :-p
FIVE
Thanks everyone for the input. That's pretty much what I thought. So... I'm just going to cut my current straps off my current pack and use them on my new one. Simple... clean... efficient... measurable... defined... textured... sorry, I'm rambling...
