iconoclasta_88 Posted September 1, 2009 Share Posted September 1, 2009 Last thursday, the Mexican Garrison was invited to attend and support an event where LFL would make public their partnership with Televisa (the largest broadcasting company in Latin America) for all Star Wars licensing products and the animated series for the next years in Mexico. It took place in a room at the 51st floor of Torre Mayor, the tallest building in latin america. They build a whole death star-ish set and had lasers, lights, fog and special effects all over the place. Great scene indeed. To the event, Hasbro and Lego were also invited and they also showed their plans for Star Wars including their new red package collections. And also talked about the future of Star Wars events, marketing plans and more. The Marketing Director of LFL was the one who leaded the whole presentation, even showing lots of never before seen scenes from Clone Wars second season. As you might imagine, this event was very exclusive and most of the stuff showed there, was top secret and we weren't allowed to take any pictures or video during the screenings. I can only say it looks totally AWESOME!!! The Garrison was asked to portrait the empire in the very best way we could. Meaning that we sporting our armor and suits in the very best canon mode. Not allowed to take off the buckets in public and always act in character. For the Mexican Garrison, this was canon as it could get. We had a great time and were very proud to be part, and an important one, of this new era of Star Wars in Mexico. Personally, I was very proud to see how much LFL respects the Legion for so many years of such a great job all around the planet. We were allowed to take very few pictures, and were only allowed to share with fellow 501st members and in 501st sites, so... here are three of them. Hope you like it. Saludos... At first we were a bit affraid about this whole Televisa and LFL deal, but it seems to be a good thing and there are lots of good things to come.
