Trooper Peter
Rolf may I ask how long did it take you to put everything together : from getting the package to trimming to assembly? It won't be long before I get my parts to carry on with this phase of my MEPD project.

It won't be long before I get my parts to carry on with this phase of my MEPD project. I will say: About 2 hours to trim the parts. 3 hours if you humbrol brish paint them, 30 minnuttes if you spray paint them. Assemble/glue, screw, strip them together, 3 hours. So i will guess around 8 hours or so in total, then your ready for duty .

Sounds good bro. Now that its your first, better make it up to 10 to 12 hours. As we know the MH/SB/Charlie kit is not a full kit, but all most, and the most accurate out there to get. Good luck whit finding the last small parts, and put it good together. See you, when you are ready for duty my friend
Rolf
And BANG!!! its all most done. I have work ******* it for the last 3 days or so... I only need to find a groove tube for the upper small open box, to come out of it. And i´m not sure i will use the faucet/flower can, down under, its a bit too big/fat a like... I will take some troop pictures whit it on. When i have my new TE2 sandtrooper ready, in a few weeks from now. Cheers All my parts are put together whit either strips, or E6000, or hot glue:

Roger to that bro. 10 to 12 hours or even longer - you know that I have pretty limited spare time in hand. <_< Maybe I'll start off by correcting the miniature, but screen accurate Marmit 12" "Move Along" Sandtrooper Backpack that I've in hand as practise first? As we know the MH/SB/Charlie kit is not a full kit, but all most, and the most accurate out there to get. Good luck whit finding the last small parts, and put it good together. Agree on the most accurate part. The parts that I've sourced locally to complete my Sandtrooper Backpack build are the Backpack Frame, Toilet Cistern Syphon Unit, PVC pipe as the Mortar and CLOROX disinfecting Wipes Cannisters. Now need to source for the right type of Backpack strap. See you, when you are ready for duty my friend I'm progressing slowly but steadily towards that direction bro. I have been painting graffiti for about 25 years, so i´m used to finish up a lawfull art wall/canvas quick. I don´t like to stop too many time in the progress, i rather give it a lot on energy and enjoy the finish product.

Rolf
yeah!! When you will be an old man you will have built an entire sandtroopers army Ha ha its a deal. Good thing is, that its only the sandtroopers i work whit. (i will all ways have a ANH stunt stormtrooper, but the sandtroopers are my hobby. And i will never stop, if someting better comes up for them) Right now i wait for my: 1. Sci-fire MG-15. 2. Dan Laws TK/TD suits. When i get them, i hope Sci-fire will make there pauldrons. Then i get all 3 ranks there, and if they make a full accurate back pack kit one day. I guess i take one too there.... and then... i might be done... but again... who know

Ha ha you got it bro. I know it sounds crazy, but the sandtroopers are my only SW costume hobby. I see it like it i have a old US 60´muscle car in my garage, walking around it through the years. Make it all shine, and work again, just like back when it was young and fast. A work of art... I like to do the same whit my sandtroopers. Get the best parts home, make it look as accurate as i can back then. Well it my hobby, not to have as many suits as i can, or as many differnet ones from SW. Just a **** accurate sandtrooper, then i´m happy. Peace out
crashmann
Another beautiful build up! You are just incredible! I'm looking forward to visiting the TD-252 museum of Sandtrooper Armor. The Smithsonian museum here in Washington DC will probably contact you for a donation to their archives I can't wait to see you trooping with new backpack. Is there going to be a baby carrier? Charlie Thanks Charlie . I might give all my TD gear to them, when i pass away one day. But i hope my son will take them. Great idea, maybe i should all a carrier to the back pack while trooping. Then no rebel scums will try any thing, whit my son having my back

Rolf
Here you see the finish pack: Add the metal wire to the radio: I have cut off the dot, so it goes down in the canister like we see it in ANH too: Add the dot to the mushroom, used shome nice shells: Add foam on the back, for trooping. Add the elasticks whit strips, to the pvc frame: I will add new pics on the forum. When i have add weathering to my new TE2 TD suit, and pack here asap. I guess in this week. Cheers
Rolf
Here is a few new ones . I just add the woodland weathering all over. I only used a light sand, and brown tone. Mostly the light on black, and brown on blue. I take most of it off again, just to make it look used and old. Just like we saw then in ANH. The back packs was not as dirty as the suits. Here you go: Here you see the all most clean ANH ones:
crashmann
Another fantastic buildup Rolf! Your weathering technique is perfect, just like how the backpack would have aged in the field - getting covered with sand and dirt, then getting wiped off when you get back to the barracks and clean it up. Great job! Charlie
