Rolf
Sure thing Fletcher. I will start, whit a TD suit. Trim/assemble/hand paint the helmet. Then the body parts, sadly the belly/kidney will not be in the kit (still working molds in progress). But i hope the last parts will come in, around the time i´m done. So i can finish him up/weathering it, and troop on .
dutchy
Your thread should be of some help to me bro'.. As you are getting the armor much earlier than me. But you got "spare parts" because you have 4.. I know it will be fun to work on the Dan Laws, I can't wait myself also. I am curious about how it will look finished and what you will do with the weathering and all.

Trooper Peter
Here we go again. This DL helmet is assemblet badly. You can even see the dome, all the way down in the eyes. A over kill hero look, and you "loose" some of the sweet details over the eyes in the face mask. But here you go, it still gives a picture of the helmet: You can all ost see, the dome touching the nose. He have just remove the bow trim, and glue it higher. The painted grey area, are showing under the bow trim: I can´t wait to have my DL suits home real soon, and start working on them. More to come. Cheers I'll certainly carry out those modifications that you've advised in your e-mail. I'm sure that once it is completed my Helmet as shown in those pics above is going to look similar to this other LAWS Stunt Helmet that you've shown in your previous thread : ..and of course a step by step photodocumentation will be included as well. td7603
quick side question. what is the cylindrical looking thing under the white buttons on the ab plate? never noticed it before.
Rolf
Copy that. I can´t wait to see you DL helmet, after you have reassemble it right. Small update. My helmets have been on delay, but should be shipped out this week. All 4 comes untrim, and i will start up whit a TD. Cheers
Rolf
Hi buddy J. Do you mean the cleft stripe, under the 3 ab dots. All ANH suits have it, but as it is now. Only TM have add the detail on he´s armor. here is another shot of the CS: As we all know the ANH TK´s, use 4 dots stripe, not 3 like the TD´s. So you can´t see it as good, as on the TD´s. But its there. Cheers

Rolf
Thanks bro. Yeah i´m about to explode as a kid, before he´s birthday . The DL helmet should be a first generation helmet. And therefor not been through the shrinking age, like the smaller AP helmet here .
Dutch Dirty Trooper
Hahaha..i can say : '' i know what ya feel '' ! As far i can see...is the eyebrow trim little bit thicker than the one of the AP and TE ?! Anyway...i am sure you will put something down marvelous bro ! AP in the middle. TE right. Hey Rolf, Thanks for posting this comparison pic. Up until now I was wondering what is the difference between a LAWS Stunt Helmet and an AP Helmet. Now the difference is CRYSTAL clear. Good thing I went for the LAWS helmet as my "melon" will never be able to fit into an AP bucket! gino
New pictures of the DL helmet (a first generation Dave M cast).Just for clarification purposes, the Dave M helmet was never cast. Not from the outside, or the inside. Only the ears were directly cast. Whatever molds are being used for this helmet come directly from a foam rapid prototype made from a 3d scan of the Dave M. This rapid prototype had to be heavily modified, cleaned up, and details added in by hand to become a usable helmet platform. To even further remove things from the original source, if these helmets were based from this rapid prototype, they would have had to have been vac formed over the top (outer surface). Here are a couple of pics showing it. I'm not trying to pick a fight with anyone, but I can't abide incorrect information (even if it is not intentional) being put out without being refuted. . Rolf
Its all good. Its just me, there not sure what to call it/DL 3d scan helmet. I´m not a maker, so my knowledge at mold making are not good to be honest. DL just call it a first generation helmet to me, of the Dave M helmet. I know the shots. Here are one more, from he´s site: http://www.imperialarmor.net/how.html Here is a few shots, of the DL vs. the screen used Dave M helmet.
