Ph1l2007
Hey guys, Well, I'm sure many of you have seen this website: http://www.vintageiron.com/chestprotector.cfm They sell the original chest protectors used for the TK pauldrons in ANH. I was just wondering, has anyone bought one of these? i suppose you could use some painters tape, and spray paint these to make them the color you want. What do you all think? firebladejedi
I think Rolf tk252 has one or two, im sure he will be along shortly to give the lowdown.. Maybe a run of 100 is needed to get the colour we all want? And i like the notes Special Note: After yours arrive, please don’t call and ask if we shrunk the chest protectors. They are the original size, your gut however is not. Special Note #2: If you are a Star Wars nut and want to buy a chest protector for your Storm Trooper outfit we won’t make them in a special color unless you order 100! Rolf
I think Rolf tk252 has one or two, im sure he will be along shortly to give the lowdown.. Maybe a run of 100 is needed to get the colour we all want? And i like the notes Yeah i have a second pauldron run going, from the Thorsten Hallman 70´chest projector. They will be done in a few days from now, and shiped out. All pauldrons are sold out. I use the Hallman, i only modify the sewing lines left and right to be as in ANH. On the Hallman, you got 6 sewing lines on the left. 5 on the right, but too wide in the mid. ANH is 5 L/R. You can dye it. But the sewing lines is not ANH correct, and foam/pad is in not in the hallman either. I have add the foam in mine, just as in ANH. Maybe buy one, and do a small run by your local tailor. Cheers trooper
