Daetrin
So while adding fins to my MG-34 to make it a DLT-19 there is some excess E6000 on the barrel. What's the recommended way of removing this from a hyperfirm?
TD-1536
Have you tried using a sharp razor? Just slide it under the glue blob and cut it away. Worked for me.
Daetrin
That was my thought but I was worried about scraping away rubber/paint. It's had 24 hours to dry - will give it a shot and will post pix. In hindsight I think TM's solution of using a syringe to apply a bead would have been more precise than what I did. Daetrin
The knife idea worked great! In some cases I could scrape it off, in others I just tucked the excess under the fins. Slow and time consuming and I don't have it all done, but it looks much better. Don't know what the HF is made from or what Nathan used to paint it, but no damage occurred to the weapon at all. The fins weren't so lucky, and I'll need to do some touch up paint.
