Authentic brow trim?

Maybe a TM recast, my eye isn't as keen as it should be.

No one makes helmets out of 60 gauge but Gino, and those go for 5X what this guy is asking.

Actually looking at his feedback, it's a recast.

How do you know it's a recast by looking at the feedback?

I'm looking for a new helmet, but I'd rather not buy a recast, so I'd like to know how to spot one.

If I'm not mistaken, there were some threads regarding this person's sales on the FISD boards. He's sold a few helmets, many of which had tells of 'recast', such as pitting and orange peel, things you generally don't see on a AP, TE or TM bucket. I wouldn't begin to speculate it's origins or dubious lineage... buyer beware.

As for the brow trim, I honestly don't know the exact type used. I'm sure Gino, Matt or TM knows... I've never thought about it because my helmets already had it, so I never needed to search for it.

Here's some links I had, though...

and this one I had bookmarked as 'brow trim', but I'm not sure which item... they have thousands. http://www.mcmaster.com/

...so nobody knows the exact trim used in the movie helmet? or where to get it or something similar? It looks like the botom part of the trim is thicker than the top. Almost wedge shaped...

To further complicate things, the trim provided on two TE helmets I bought from Matt years ago, each had different types of trim.

I'm not sure how "accurate" it is but after searching the hardware stores and such I found some "camper weather stripping" at Autozone. It's a half inch wide and sticky backed and for the helmet I'm currently working on It's gonna fly. I can post a pic once I put it together but that's still a few days away.
